I seriously loved the episode but there was something missing. We couldn't see Bonnie at all. She is still stucked on the other side with Kai and it was a huge question mark what they do to get out of there, if they ever can.

Jo saves Alaric

Elena is disgusted with the idea that she ever loved a monster like Damon. Caroline is shocked that Damon is back.
Elena is working at the hospital wearing a polo top and jeans. She looks amazing. She drinks Doctor Jo's drink to check for vervain. Jo later says she knows what Alaric and her are. Elena realizes Jo is a witch.
Damon sees Alaric for the first time. He has his best friend again. Damon is annoyed Alaric won't compel Elena to remember their relationship though.
Tripp has Ivy's phone locked in a drawer. She is so pretty in her photo. She died because Tripp crossed the border with her.
Alaric and Stefan block one road while Elena and Caroline block another. Alaric pretends to need help with the car and they are heading to Stefan's bachelor party. Alaric then begins to assault Tripp and Tripp shoots him. Damon and Enzo are driven across the border where they are instantly dying. Alaric ends up on other side of the border and begins dying as well. Tripp manages to escape. Stefan becomes a hero when he voluntarily crosses the border and opens the back of the van to rescue Enzo and Damon. Jo, the doctor witch, comes to rescue Alaric. She says she cannot move him to save him and he is dissolved of all magic.
Caroline calls Elena to inform that Alaric is no longer a vampire and cannot compel back her memories.
