Clips Episode
mjjmacs14 June 2020
It's just a clips episode. Just to leave this here for some who might not know, the budget of season 4 was cut substantially so the creators had the choice to make a clips episode or lay people off, and they chose a clips episode.

It was a clips episode.
cousbrojs26 November 2014
What can I say, this was a clips episode. This season so far is the best season of Korra and unfortunately, one episode completely kills the mood. I, and a lot of fans were disappointed with this episode. But there is an explanation behind it. (Basically Nickelodeon cut the budget and gave Bryke an ultimatum; fire their staff or make a clips episode.)

But it was still a great episode, which showcased how far these characters have come. Similar to The Ember Island Players in The Legend of Aang, Remembrances retells the adventures our heroes have been through. But unlike the latter, the characters reflect on their journey leading up to the present day, and question whether or not they've done good. Varrick also had a few quips of comedy at the end and the gut punch line Zaheer delivers was hilarious! (Glad I caught you at home!)

Overall, Remembrances was a forgettable episode in an otherwise excellent season of Korra. Here's hoping the next episode more than makes up for it!

Necessary for the show if watching weekly on Nick, not necessary for binging

Warning: Spoilers
A nice recap of the show. Funny commentary from the characters with some nice Cartoon Network animation for the narration. But in the age of binging, where many of us watch Korra within a couple weeks, we don't need this reminder of the whole show.

a weird recap episode
DoctorDigsby56 February 2022
While I find many parts funny, and the line 'Wu Down' has become a favourite of mine, this episode isn't great.

It isn't as creative as 'The Ember Island Players' in the last airbender, however it wouldn't be true to say it is 100% unoriginal, I like the parts with Varrick and Bolin, as they are more original and funny.

Imma give this 5/10 for korra's section and for the cute scene where asami brings korra tea. in every other sense this is the worst episode

Grandma Yin for the win
babbjanice8 November 2020
I'm only giving this 7 stars because Grandma Yin's commentary during Mako's story was the best part of the episode.

Clips Episode

5 might be harsh but I dont get the need of this episode at all. Why did the writers decide to retell all the things that happened in the series up to that moment?!

Better than The Ember Island Players, that's what.
AceSAMM30 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This is basically The Ember Island Players, but WAY BETTER. The Ember Island Players was such GARBAGE unironically, which was the KEY element of watching Avatar for me! To me it insulted the ENTIRETY of the 2005 series that is, Avatar: The Last Airbender. THIS episode, Remembrances, is about the characters remembering the past, from the first season to now. The Mako part was BAD because of the dumb chibi characters interrupting the story. Same to the Bolin part with the DUMB PRISONERS FROM THE PREVIOUS EPISODE! And Varrick, BENDING THE STORY with the villains calling each other. Thankfully, the Korra part was okay. But at LEAST it didn't make a mockery of its own series. This wasn't really a good episode, but it's the least offensive version of the Ember Island Players, which I would prefer over the one on Avatar.

It's just a (boring) clipshow
hstoys8 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Unfortunately due to behind the scenes issues, we are forced to sit through a (mostly) underwhelming clipshow episode. It contains 3 segments that recaps some aspects of the previous seasons' stories. The first segment is decently enjoyable, although it was cute to see the writers poking fun at themselves for the shaky handling of Mako's love life, I was struggling to sit through it. The second segment involves Korra's insecurity over her place in the world, though a nice sentiment the segment ended up being quite boring and difficult to sit through. Finally, the third segment involves an actually entertaining and humorous recap of the second season of Korra. It's filled with clever writing, a hilarious performance from John Michael Higgins, and of course its playful poking fun of Book 2's shortcomings was done akind to the hilarious Ember Island Prayers, and I'm glad this otherwise boring episode managed to end on a good note that kept me invested all the way through.

No progress for season 4 , but still fun to watch.

Warning: Spoilers
I honestly didn't expect that. Moreover, i didn't feel the need to have a recap, because I am watching this show within 2 months. But for others it might be very important.

Although there is one episode kind of "wasted", I nevertheless had pleasure watching this. Nice to remember what happened all before, so it becomes more emotional.

I am really hoping to see Amon again, even if it's very unlikely. I am just looking forward for him.
