An explosive start, and intriguing opener.

A very dramatic opening, one that definitely grabs your attention. It's a very interesting storyline, intriguing also because you can see politics at play, and the fact that the Lyell team and Police are obstructed by the powers that be.

It's like a fashion shoot, the episode is full of gorgeous looking people, beautiful women, gorgeous men, a little unrealistic I guess.

The acting is excellent, Anamaria Marinca in particular stands out, a true talent. No real backstory for any of the regulars, it's totally story focused. Some great action moments.

A story very relevant to the time, Russian Oligarchs were big news. The Crimea had been annexed, so tensions between Russia and the west were hugely strained.

An interesting watch, both politically and for the story. 8/10

Ukranian Interference

Our usual cast seems to be sitting there watching things happen. The episode starts out when a targeted oligarch bends over and a woman, the Nanny to his child, takes the shot, dying instantly. We are then taken into the underbelly of these nasty guys (and women) who are determined to kill this guy. The police and a councilwoman are instructed to keep things out of the press. There are three or four other players in this thing. There is betrayal at every turn. More political than most of these episodes.
