Warning: Spoilers
This episode again proves how modern technology can get you into trouble.

As far as I'm concerned, the woman who played Mrs. Wilson, the social studies teacher, stole the episode acting wise. As liberal as they come, she seems to have a vendetta against the Regan's and even Erin has a few choice words about her after she leaves the room with her daughter following a conference.

The episode mainly concerns itself with Jamie being selected for killing after he intervenes when a thug beats up a woman friend who subsequently dies from her injuries.

Grandpa Len Cariou doesn't realize he is being taped and he says some pretty embarrassing, but probably truthful things about how he would run the department if he were still commissioner.

No Resolution
AJ_Blanc1 March 2022
I caught this episode the other day, and while I'm sure I've seen it before I realized something that I hadn't in the past: the ep ends with no real change or resolution. Sure, a murder suspect is caught with a kidnapped victim, but given the response from the judge earlier what makes any of them think this will result in a happy ending considering the officers involved are either a Regan or a partner of one? Speaking of that judge; dismissing a case because of a YT video and a Tweet from a teenager, both of which had nothing to do with the case? Absolutely ridiculous! The only intelligent thing that judge said was for Erin to recuse herself in cases where her family is involved (which is true). Having said that, technically speaking, ALL evidence is circumstantial. With two correlating fingerprints no judge would dismiss that murder/officer assault case, but a grand jury could easily overturn that ruling, and with some simple editing that much more logical storyline could've happened.

The entire social media subplot should've either been dropped or made into its own episode, since I'm confident in saying none of it is mentioned again and they didn't know what to do with it in the first place. At first it started as a lesson for Niki to realize even her words on social media can have a negative impact on her life and her family's. Later it's presented that it was her way of defending herself from an overbearing teacher. So what's the takeaway supposed to be: respect an authority figure even if she doesn't reciprocate, or does freedom of speech only matter to people you agree with? Niki never said she sided with Henry's specific comments; in fact I don't think anybody really did except maybe Danny, but context matters, and there was a severe lack of that throughout the episode.

One outspoken family
bkoganbing9 February 2017
Two Reagans get involved in this story of a battered woman turned murder victim. Officer Jamie Reagan spotting a crying woman near the Flatiron building finds out she's a battering victim with a truly sick former boyfriend who won't leave her alone. Will Estes gives her his business card. Later Chelsea Lopez is found dead and it's Danny Reagan who catches the case.

You will not find fewer more brazen and more arrogant and dangerous criminals than James Carpinello. Because he found Jamie's business card on the victim he goes after him and anyone else who gets in his way. Both Will Estes and partner Vanessa Ray are truly in harm's way in Ray's case twice. They have a narrow escape from an ambush with Estes getting injured. Carpinello's final capture is well done.

Len Cariou gets on the internet when someone tapes his alcohol induced comments about what he would do if he caught the man threatening his grandson. This causes no end of embarrassment to Tom Selleck.

Lastly Sami Gayle gets in a bit of a jackpot when she posts some salty comments on social media regarding one of her uptight teachers. The whole Reagan clan is outspoken here. The teacher is played by Leslie Hendrix who made a career in the Law And Order franchise playing medical examiner Dr. Rogers. After the parent teacher conference Bridget Moynahan was ready to smack her.

All the Reagans seemed to get their moment in this episode.

A other forced theme episode
michaelwesten25 October 2014
I actually like most of the Blue Bloods episodes, even do its often a bid simplistic in its 'black head - white head' approach to real live.

And this epi was for sure the worse i have seen until now, ware the bad guys ware really only 2D.

Even the teacher was beyond ridicules 2D.

A forced theme episode, ware literately every every cast member suddenly get involved in social media problems is beyond ridicules.

A judge that makes decisions based on what other personal interested but not relevant to the case opinions.

A hole group of guys that helps attack cops, because the bosses gf broke up, and now wants revenge on a cop that talked for 2 min whit the victim.

The plots are paper thin, and we talking here about 50s paper thin.

Filler Episode

Warning: Spoilers
Nothing new here to progress the story, which is okay. I've been watching this on Netflix and I've been enjoying it.

I'm confused how a judge could throw out the case like she did. I'm not a lawyer but it sounded like there was plenty of evidence to build a case. Fingerprints are pretty damning. I felt that was weak writing.

I noticed the teacher had a picture of Che Guevara hanging in her classroom. A revolutionary seeking, anti-capitalist, mass murderer has his picture hanging on the wall of a private Catholic school? That is unusual. Was this on purpose to show how messed up the teacher is? It just made me a bit sick to watch, and I was hoping it would have been brought up in the episode and dismissed as inappropriate, but it was not. I really hope it was there to add to the teacher's distorted views, and disrespectful behavior.

Niki, I can't stand her and never have. I hope they write her out of the story. She never really adds any value to the show.

Supports the protests about US Police methods
TV-Bloke15 December 2014
Well Grandpa does it again. He proves that Dinosaurs still roam the earth: and are in charge of a number of police forces. No wonder there are protests across the US against the way that officers can get away with ................. The plot lines are always a little thin, but generally watchable. I don't think that this programme would pass muster in the UK. There's not enough depth to the characters.

There is always a miraculous 'something' that enables them to win the case in record time. What are the statistics for solving crimes in New York. Based on Danny's clear up rates, they must be near 100%.

And on a general note: How any of the family can keep their food down at that table is beyond me. The sickly sweet atmosphere must be choking them.
