"The Pelican" - the boat the gang travel on when they arrive in Tasmania is actually 99 years old having been originally built in 1921.
The sound post was created by Greg P. Fitzgerald who's work also appears on Hollywood blockbusters such as Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), Happy Feet (2006) and Happy Feet Two (2011), Gods of Egypt (2016), The Lego Movie (2014) and The Lego Ninjago Movie (2017) and The Water Diviner (2014).
Two of the vehicles used in the film had names. The green sandman that Camo drives at the beginning, despite its throaty engine is called "Peppermint" in real life. And the boat that arrives in the mist of Tasmania is called "The Pelican".
The film was originally going to be called "B Roll". When filming it was called "Back Country".
The camera shake is never entirely random - it was planned to reflect the character holding it at the time. Camo - well he's not that good but tries. You can see his heavy footsteps when he moves. Grant, the experience camera guy is much smoother. When other characters held it, the DOP would watch how the actors moved and recreate their movements holding the camera. At times, the actors themselves would film for added realism.
