When Nipper Read is assembling his team in the background on the wall are pictures of the real Jack McVitie,Frank Mitchell,and George Cornell,along with actual Autopsy pictures of George Cornells' fatal gunshot wounds.
At the opening of the movie, when the hot poker is being applied to the gentlemen's face, there is no sizzle or smoke. The poker remains orange for a long time, but it should have cooled off and needed to be reheated. The scar left on the man's face was not blistered nor in the shape of the tip of the poker.
