Good Christmas movie with bite and Lil' Bub

A good Christmas comedy that differs from the others since it has Lil' Bub, a Facebook sensation of a cat. It was cute. I will purchase this for my workplace when it comes out on DVD!

Good set up, skip the end

It's an okay movie, but compared to the usual "o noes we have to save Christmas" garbage out there this is a masterpiece. The movie has bits that are much more clever than one would expect to find in a family friendly Christmas movie. Unfortunately, it runs out of momentum before the climax, and the obligatory resolution and reveal of the sitcom lie feels even more forced than these things usually are.

Becomes a torture to watch

The starting of the movie started off nice. A typical teenage fun movie. But as the movie progresses, it becomes boring and a torture to watch it. Not a fun movie to me.

I watched this film twice. I really like Christmas films and it's always fun to see a quirky family. If you haven't seen this, check it out. It is as good or better than any Home Alone of John Candy film.

Don't waste your time

One of the worst movies ever made. Overacted. Terrible plot. Totally unwatchable. And I should be touting this garbage since I am one of the investors. Do not waste your time. And don't invest in Christmas movies. Writing is hackneyed, acting stilted, and I wanted to scratch my eyes out halfway through. I only watched the entire movie because I was an investor. I will never get this 1 hour and 37 minutes of my life back.

Cringe worthy!!

First off let me point out the positive reviews. You look at those people that wrote them, you will see many accounts were created around the time this was released!! Also you will see the others have reviewed this movie only or one other and have been members for several years!! The question to this is this, how much did they get paid to post those, because this movie is pathetic!! This movie had two funny moments in the beginning but that's it!! The writing is horrible!! Example is when the dad is in the back yard and his son, Rudy, (named after the reindeer & the daughters are Christmas related names as well) asks his dad about missing all that work during the holiday's & the dad says, I made it clear to them at work that Christmas comes first. That's more important than proving for your family? Next is the acting!! The childish acting by adults is pathetic!! What I mean is the dad spent the kids "college funds" on a Santa hat that was supposed to be used in a miracle on 34st, the original version. The hat looked almost new, not 70 some years old!!! The grandma fakes a heart attack!! Who writes that stuff & thinks it's funny? I could go on and on about this pathetic film but I don't have all week to do it!! Just do yourself a favor and skip this one at all cost!!

I can't believe there's positive reviews here. The Sickness joke and the time the dad prepares Christmas was pretty funny. But that's it. Everything else felt like it was written by 4 year old.

Fun holiday movie for the family

While I felt like some stuff in this movie is funny. But my God this movie made me fraustrated in the logic of the main character. Alot of the actions she made me incredibly pissed.

I know we all have a different sense of humour, but I really do not get anyone giving this a good review, it is overacted and just plain stupid, for me a comedy must be a bit believable to be funny, but all of the characters are, well, pathetic !!!! the father, well how he managed to have kids in the first place is a miracle ...... if this had been written by a 6 year old it would make sense, we lasted about 20 mins before we switched it off, and that was longer than deserved.

1. 13 yo= I like it, it has a good story line. My favorite character is the grandma. She was funny in her scene. 2. 7 yo = I like it too! I like the original jingle bell song.

The mulled wine was the only thing that made me feel warm during this movie. If she could go out the door, why could she only go in the window? Thank god the cranberry sauce ruined that awful dress. What the hell was that faded trucker hat? So many questions. An internet famous cat really isn't enough to save this film. CHRISTMAS IS RUINED

Colourful but lacks something

Funny and Sappy!

I mean "sappy" in a good way, It makes you tear up a little. And it doesn't get sappy until the end, after a few hours of funniness. I think the filmmakers did a good job of making it something that literally the whole family can watch. There are jokes for kids, and jokes for adults that kids wouldn't get (not dirty or anything). Like a joke about Clark Gable that would make anyone over 40 laugh, but little kids would go "huh?"

Mainly, the cast is uniformly good throughout. A few unknown actors, and a lot of actors where you go "Oh, I've seen them before." It's nice to see them getting to shine.

Great family Xmas film with a modern twist!

Unlike most other family friendly Christmas movies, this one actually has scenes that will make you laugh. The writing is excellent and everyone plays their roles convincingly. Nothing is contrived and it's super relatable. It's a real treat because most Christmas movies aren't funny, or relatable, or have an interesting plot. Even those of you who aren't fans of Christmas can appreciate the Hanukkah cultural references and how they're tied in while still being funny/PC. It's not easy to do that!

My 11 year old daughter and I watched it together. She loved it. I enjoyed it too. It can be hard to find films that families can watch together and all like. This film accomplishes that goal. It is cute and funny.

I didn't think I'd be into a family Xmas movie with two teenage leads, but I kept watching and I'm glad I did. It moves at a brisk pace with good laughs, and then got surprisingly real at the end. It reminded me of 10 Things I Hate About You -- funny but then you actually care about these people.
