I watched the whole series with my only daughter when she was 7 and I was 36; it was the first time for both of us. It is a story of a young girl caught in a life of unfortunate circumstances with an unsinkable spirit that proves to be her life preserver. We laughed, cried and thoughly enjoyed watching it together. That created a very fond memory which we relived as we watched again every five or so years. My daughter is now a mother of a little girl and her eyes can't wait until all three generations can watch together for the first time and continue the tradition. There are not many movies or opportunities like this in today's world. I highly recommend this for your family.
