This episode was produced in 2016 and several years have transpired since then. As an audience we have been exposed to a lot of other crime dramas.
IMHO, this first episode is pretty typical. A crime has been committed. We're introduced to a policeman who seems intent on solving the crime.
Next we discover this policeman is so irresponsible, he fails to pick up his own child from school. A few minutes later, this same irresponsible fool is asking others to trust him and handing out his card to a group of mistreated workers.
Well, it's no big surprise when a couple of days later the workers who trusted this idiot are out of a job.
The cop who wants to be a hero but cannot even keep his own life together is a pretty standard trope these days.
There's a side plot concerning a woman who is rising quickly in the legal department of the firm suspected of causing the initial crime.
So far this series is typical and nothing to write home about. However, the screenwriters haven't stretched the limits of credibility the way some other series have. So I'm giving this series a solid 6.
