Basically the same movie as Dragon Ball Z: Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans, with some differences...

Warning: Spoilers
"Dragon Ball: Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans" (2010) is essentially the same movie as "Dragon Ball Z: Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans" (1993), with some minor omissions and a slighty different ending.

In the new movie, the five Saiyans don't get their information from Mr. Popo, they don't travel to other places to fight monsters and destroy more Destron-gas machines, and they don't fight Goddo Gadon on the Dark Planet, which is much closer to Earth than in the old movie. In the last fight with Hatchihyack, all five saiyans combine their powers to fight him, but in the 1993 movie only Goku, Vegeta, Gohan and Trunks fight him. Piccolo is beaten up too much and gives his Senzu Beans to the other Saiyans.

A bit generic story-wise, but not bad

Warning: Spoilers
"Doragon bôru: Sûpâ saiyajin zetsumetsu keikaku" or "Dragon Ball: Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans" is an animated Japanese short film from 2010 directed by Yoshihiro Ueda. It runs for slightly under half an hour and is of course anime in the Japanese language, so you may need subtitles. But if you consider watching it, you probably know the Dragon ball franchise well enough to be aware of that. It is a story about revenge as one evil mastermind plans to use a magic barrier to destroy life on Planet Earth. Of course, the gang of heroes does all they can to fight him and in the process of that they run into some familiar faces they thought to be long gone and also a new very strong enemy. I think these familiar faces, even if they provide huge spoilers I guess, are the best thing about this one as they bring back some characters people are missing perhaps and it's a nice little tribute to the earlier days of Dragon Ball. Other than that, it's really nothing special here about this one. But it''s not bad either I guess. Pretty much what you could expect and even if it does not get me curious about the series really (haven't seen much apart from some short films), I still give it a thumbs-up. It was an okay watch worth checking out.

For completists only Warning: Spoilers
A remake of the 1993 OVA Dragon Ball Z Side Story: Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans, which was apparently some sort of visual guide for the game of the same name.

Despite the entirely new animation and a couple of story changes, the plot is almost exactly the same.

The mooks from the original OVA are completely omitted here, focusing only in the fight against the "Ghost Warriors" (Some sort of clones of the villains from the series and other Dragon Ball movies) and Hatchiyack.

The overall tone is also much more serious, with none of the comic relief the 1993 version had. (I kinda miss the scene of that incompetent mook that ends offing himself by accident)

If you already have seen the 1993 animation, then probably you won't be missing much here. This kind of stuff is for Dragon Ball completists only.
