Fun show, nice cars, beats House Hunters

Warning: Spoilers
Now some say Spike isn't the greatest host, but I like the guy. Almost every episode I've watched has been very enjoyable. I couldn't really relate to a chef who had a $140K budget for a car, but the other 5 episodes I've watched I've taped to watch again as my son comes home for Christmas. He's a car nut since birth, and maybe I should wait for his review, but I like the show. I think it's well made, and it gives some great insight into the cars that the people are trying to decide upon. And for the most part, I agree with their decision. It sorta reminds me of Seinfelds Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, but it has the normal people choosing their next car as a hook. The show with the ScoobieMobile giving snacks to the dude coming out of the marijuana dispensary was funny stuff. Nice work, Spike!

Not Just For Car Lovers!

Many people all over the country face a decision every few years or so regarding what car to get next. Sometimes this is a leisurely purchase, other times they might need to get a new (or used) car right away for varying reasons.

Spike Feresten's approach to "Car Matchmaking" is to talk with the prospective car Buyer first. He finds out ideally what they would like in a new car, what is their budget, and any other important strategic issues that might affect their buying decision. Spike also takes into consideration whether or not the car will be leased, and to my surprise when I first saw it, he also offers late model used cars and trucks as an alternative to something new and staying on budget.

My enjoyment comes from how Spike approaches each person differently. After they meet and he gets an idea of what they want, then he next takes them to some kind of venue that specifically highlights the car of choice. For example, if someone says they want a car sleekly styled like for racing, he might take them to a race track where cars are raced that resemble what they are looking for and offers them more information about the cars.

I'm pretty good about listening to each car Buyer summing up what they like about the cars they drove, and yet I still haven't gotten one right! There is always something that motivates a Buyer for a specific car that stands out for them. This is the heart of the show to me....many times it is a car they would NOT have even considered for one reason or another.

Since I love cars, I love the show because I'm learning about what is new out there and what motivates people to buy a particular car.

This is a fun show to watch and I think anyone can enjoy the people, the cars and Spike's good sense of humor.

Great show, Spike!

Carplete waste of time

If you find used car dealers entertaining, and fun to be around- Then this show's for you.

Finally a car show that that's not about driving fast, or having fun. Instead it focuses on driving around slowly and talking about three cars that any of us could see, at any car lot in America. But before you say, "that doesn't sound interesting," It's hosted by the least funny comedian you've never heard of.

I would rather help my mother shop for a car, than watch this show! I would rather help someone clean their garage, than watch this show! I would rather change the transmission filter on someone else's car, than watch this show!
