Al Sa-Him Is born
sachinpathuri22 April 2015
Warning: Spoilers
This was probably one of the better episodes of this great season. As of now, Arrow has established itself as one of the best comic book TV shows. The acting in this episode was great with all those emotional scenes, and there was still sufficient action to keep people watching. Also, I loved that scene between Maseo and Diggle, which just goes to show how Diggle is usually the wise one. Maseo got enough attention, and the writers finally fixed some of the Olicity stuff. Malcolm may not have done everything that he could have, but it was nice to have him back as he wasn't there in the previous episodes. Too bad they spoiled the stuff with Akio, but most people were expecting that anyway. Overall, this episode was excellent, and I'm just really excited about the other episodes.

Farewell Oliver Queen
ThomasDrufke22 April 2015
Much like 'Sara' from early on this season, 'The Fallen' was one of the darkest and morbid episodes of Arrow all time. I don't always agree with what the writers decide to do with characters, but I do love the way they write great dark character drama. The dialogue of the entire episode was really well put together. I feel like anyone who has watched the show from the beginning got the feels tonight. Whether it was Oliver grieving over Thea, the Olicity moments, Ray and Felicity, or even the Maseo-Diggle moment, it was a really well written episode.

So Thea sort of died and was taken to the Lazarus Pit. Considering since the very first time Ras was mentioned I have been waiting for the pit to make an appearance, it was nice to see a character be brought back. Though I would have rather had Sara been brought back early on this season. It begs the question as to why Ra's didn't just bring Sara back for Nyssa in the first place? I guess there's still a chance that can be the case later on this season considering Caity Lotz is confirmed for the spin off (and was apparently seen filming alongside Amell and Gustin). Becoming the White Canary does make some sense if she is a 'changed' person coming out of the pit.

Back to tonight, I was once again really impressed with Stephen Amell's acting. He has improved so much since season 1 and tonight was another great example. He plays the dark and suffering Oliver Queen incredibly well. This show is so different than Flash and it's hard to believe at times that they even exist in the same universe sometimes. Now that there is no more Oliver Queen and all we have is the new Ra's Al Ghul, I'm pretty sure that will continue. So knowing what the preview shows for next week, Oliver obviously wont kill Diggle, but how does he get out of this? How does Oliver make peace with Ra's by the end of the season? We only have 3 episodes left and there are still so many questions left unanswered.

The Maseo-Diggle confrontation was nice to see as two brother like figures in Oliver's life both shared their two cents with each other. Although, Maseo's character I feel as though has had some inconsistencies. Felicity and Ra's was just as entertaining, though it was mostly written to make us feel sympathy for what Ra's is doing. Not to compare but we got to know and love the Slade character much more before his turn, and I just don't know that I have any sympathy for what Ra's plan is. Perhaps Nyssa can just take over by the end of the year. That brings us to the biggest fan service moment in possibly Arrow's history, the Olicity scene. After almost 3 full seasons of teasing Oliver and Felicity, they finally had their real moment. Uninterrupted and very romantic I thought it was handled very well. I just hope by the time season 4 comes along, we can all just relax for awhile and let their relationship blossom. So tonight was one of the darker episodes Arrow has had but yet I really loved it. It gave us a look at just how far a man who will go to protect his loved ones. Enter Al Sah-him, heir to the demon.

+Dark, grim episode

+Olicity

+You get the feels multiple times

+The Pit finally used

+Sacrifice

-Maseo inconsistent

One of the best episodes so far
sfsfsdfd23 April 2015
Warning: Spoilers
This is no doubt one of the best episodes so far. This episode had everything that we wanted and didn't have all the useless drama that made some "Arrow" episodes in season 3 quite boring for me. Here Oliver has finally accepted the fact that facing Ra's is his only option to stop the pain and suffering of the people he loves. Most of the Oliver and Felicity moments in this season were kind of dull, but in this episode it was really well written (felt kind of bad for Ray though). Also the way Stephen and John acted in the beginning of the episode was just amazing. It seems that we have a few really interesting episodes ahead of us, can't wait!

Episode content was quite predictable.

Warning: Spoilers
What happened in this episode was quite predictable. It was pretty clear that Oliver will give in to Ras demand to save Thea. Anything else would have been a contradiction to his actions in the past episodes. The end of Rays and Felicitys romance was also no surprise since there were indications for that in previous episodes. And I am pretty happy about this development, because I don't like the Ray character. I hope this was the last of him in Arrow and he is gone for good.

Was it a surprise Felicity sleeping with Oliver? To me a little bit actually. I didn't expect it to happen in this episode, but more in the season finale. Maybe it had to be in this episode, because the writers have something bad in store for the Felicity character in the season finale.

Wow, just wow!

Warning: Spoilers
This show continues to blow me away, almost every episode has me on the edge of my seat, this episode is one of those. The acting is superb from everyone, I don't want to sound like a girl, but Oliver and Felicity finally got it together....... only to be pulled apart again! I'm now excited for the last three episodes.

There wasn't really any choice for Oliver
yvonneshusband23 April 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I'm a little underwhelmed by this week's episode. Minus one star for the absence of Miss K Law, minus one star for reverting to pointless 'Oliver in mortal danger' flashbacks (since he's quite obviously still alive in the show's 'present'). I nearly took another star off for Maseo revealing that his son is dead to Diggle, except that I'd long since deduced it. At least Felicity seems to have finally made up her mind (again!) and chosen Oliver, although her plan to drug Oliver and take him home belies her supposed hyper intelligence. Maseo manages to flip-flop again back onto Oliver's side, although Ra's seems to have been in a forgiving mood this week, maybe since he's finally gotten what he wants. The action sequences were of the usual high standard. The real question now (since it's now quite obvious Batman won't be intervening in this 'demonic' selection process, worse luck)is will the show be still called 'Arrow'?

What just happened. Ra's is being underrated :(
acidnat23 April 2015
Warning: Spoilers
After the last episode end, I was waiting quite eagerly for this one.

********spoiler**********

It is disappointing that Ra's has 0 stabbing skills in Arrow. Terrible fate for Bruce's arch nemesis. For the master of hand-to- hand combat who's skill could only be matched by Bruce, he is shown 2 out of 2 times missing a through and through sword shove.

On the writers' defense, the plot required Thea to be barely alive - but doesn't this mean both of them survived Ra's' sword? And isn't that the only criteria for Oliver being chosen as the next Ra's? By the end of the season we could see a lot of heirs to the throne - the twist! That sounds real interesting...a GoT style war for the throne!! yay!!

It is a great episode overall - with the ATOM and shorter flashbacks being put on the sidelines to show the total change in Arrow to set up an exciting set of upcoming episodes. All bets are off on what is going to happen next. Everything and everyone is unpredictable on what they are going to do next.

Things to look forward to from next episode onward:

Arrow as the heir. Thea more unpredictable than usual. Felicity and Diggles - mostly helping Black Canary after she got the Canary Cry upgrade from Cisco the day before. ATOM who could assist them in saving the city. Malcolm who just needs to die - soon xD

The Fallen
SpideyVerse2325 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
After the events of the previous episode, Oliver returns home to find Thea dying and takes her to the hospital where the doctors are unable to save her life. So when Ra's makes an offer to Oliver to save Thea, he accepts despite Diggle, Felicity and even Malcolm not agreeing with the method being used to save Thea. Most of this episode was relationship-driven and it changed the status quo of the show. We also got to see some excellent character interactions, including a long-awaited moment for fans of the show and some emotional ones which land perfectly.

The flashbacks feel filler with them not really doing anything except take up screentime.

They finally did it Warning: Spoilers
For nearly 3 seasons Felicity was the only stable character in the series. And now the writers have even ruined her as well. Just a few episodes earlier she hops in bed with Ray, and now she vows her love for Oliver and hops in bed with him.

This has now become a full blown sub-standard soap opera.
