Touches on Homer and Bart's Relationship in a Fun and New Way,
lesleyharris3014 November 2014
The Wreck of Relationship is a fantastic Simpsons episode with a very well written storyline and loads of very funny scenes. Its another episode that revolves around Homer and Bart having to work together and really putting their relationship to the test, but it was actually a really original way of doing it,we never saw Homer trying to get Bart to obey his command like this before and also the Relation-Ship was very funny and featured characters such as Ned Flanders and Cletus with their kids as well.I really enjoyed Nick Offerman's guest voice as Captain Bowditch, who was a very funny character, and I prefer when they get a celebrity to do a guest role of an actual character on a television series instead of just playing themselves,it's a more original way of bringing them in to the show instead of getting a famous person in saying,"hey I'm Nick Offerman",it is simply much more fun to get them to play a character who has an important role in the episode and suits the actor's voice.Funny and also includes an enjoyable side story, the Wreck of the Relationship is a great Simpsons episode.

Marge sends Homer and Bart on a sea course to improve their relationship after Homer is frustrated with his sons refusal to obey his orders.

Homer Vs Bart.

Trash talk is everywhere, and sadly so is broccoli, as a hater of broccoli myself, I sympathise with Bart and his reluctance to eat the little green trees.

After falling out over eating broccoli, Bart and Homer face a long standoff, before landing up on a therapy ship, the relationship ship.

After the disappointment of the previous episode, I thought this one was very good, it had me chuckling several times, I love the Homer Vs Bart episodes, and this is a good one. The side story of Marge taking on Homer's fantasy football team is also funny.

Moral of the story, just eat your broccoli. 8/10.

The Wreck of the Relationship

We were well into series 26 of the show at this point, so it was nice to see new angles for the Homer/Bart relationship to be explored, and there were some very clever moments within that storyline.

The B plot involving Marge wasn't great, but on the whole this was a good episode by latter day Simpsons standards.
