This movie is just like any chick lit you ever watch, except it is focusing on gymnastic. There is a smart girl as main character who is blinded by love. Her boyfriend who suddenly become bad to deliberately make way for another lover potential. It's light and easy to follow, they play this movie in safe mode all along the way aided by the whole eye-candy casts. If you just want to kill some time with some non- Nolan/cronenberg/Kubrick kind of movie. This is it.

And also the usual teenage movie cliches, being in love with the wrong one, not seeing what is right in front of you, setting the wrong kind of goals for yourself, having to find what you truly want and so forth. Now you can see where this is going from a mile a way. Or even further, it's not really surprising, but it does have a certain charme to it.
The actors and the script are not that bad, and they actually achieve that you kind of care for them. Even though there is not that much to get out of the "story", it's nicely told. So if you don't have cynic mind going into it, you may have fun watching it. Not too much, just because of the nature of the film and the already mentioned predictability.

As I didn't watch the whole movie I already got mad at the beginning. The part where she said something about softball (but that was too tomboyish), then volleyball (That didn't fit as well), and then she said gymnastics assuming that it's a girly sport (I am a gymnast myself just in a different category). I was already a bit mad but I kept watching the movie. Then came the part where she didn't catch a toilet roll and she said something in the lines of:"No gymnast could have caught that". Just because we're gymnasts doesn't mean we can't catch a ball. She made gymnasts look as if they can only do some cartwheels and such. I didn't watch the full movie I only got to that part and immediately stopped the movie. apparently

The movie is about a girl starting a gymnastics team in order to win her boyfriend back. But with time she learns some valuable lessons on how she should not be obsessed with guys, find her talents and stick with friends.
Such "educational" movies are super predictable. Which usually doesn't bother me if the movie is still made well and I get to laugh a lot. But I didn't laugh once during the movie.
The fact that it isn't realistic doesn't bother me, after all it is a movie. My only issue was with Cali getting into CIA training because she cried. Like, really? And the acting was irritating. I won't say the actors have no talent, it seems to be the movie's style, but if they have talent it sure isn't noticeable in this movie.
Yeah the point of the movie is a good one. Yet there are thousands of movies spreading the same message that are much better done. And this kind of movies are for kids. Yet I am not sure how many kids will like to watch movies about "old people".
The point I gave are mainly for gymnastics scenes which were pretty great.

The actors are bad. The story is.. how do I put this.. been there, seen that. When you know what's going to happen before it really happens, makes it a waste of time. Some good scenes. Lots of pretty girls tho, and they have muscles! Strong is the new thin.

They all look in their mid thirties! (At best). What kind of college is this?!? And the lead female is RIPPED (they all are) yet her boyfriend calls her "skinny fat"?? Corny dialogue, bad acting (or directing or both). Blah, it was really bad.

Bad acting, bad writing, bad budget. Overall terrible. I don't think the people behind this movie understand gymnastics or college sports. Giving this a two out of ten was generous and only for Chet who was kinda cool. The plot was so bad and so unbelievable. Her roommate was really applying for the CIA? The gymnastics team got that good, that quickly? I have so many more questions. Why was Emily getting married in the middle of the college? This portrays women so badly throughout the entire movie, as if the entire gender is only concerned with marriage. Watch this movie if you want to laugh at a really, really, really (really, really, really) horrible movie.

My 7 year daughter and 9 year old son loved it. I found some of the jokes quite funny too. Nothing deep and doesn't pretend to be. This is probably why I didn't find it nauseating like most any other film of this genre. It is purposely over the top at times and not yet another Disney production. Thumbs up.

ya know, i don't know if its because i'm getting older and have truly become a know it all, or if i'm a little jaded, but these movies where the girl is dating a cheating guy, but then the "nice guy" comes into the picture and the girl falls in love with the nice guy - well is sickening its so OBVIOUS of the plot. And i'm tired of these PUNKS in this case "chet" in the movie who is just casually running into the hot, leggy, sexy chick ALL THE TIME. Cmon bro, its so obvious all your trying to do is get laid by playing the 'nice guy" ACT. Your pathetic, a loser, and i'm surprised a girl this hot gives you the time of day, your so pathetic, a true chump

This movie has some really great lines, a really good message and when I need to laugh I watch this movie. I love this movie and will continue to watch it for year's to come. Give it a chance, you too might fall in love with it.
