Fireworks Begin

The divorce lawyer men decide that due to the women's spending habits, it would be wise to put a stop to their credit cards. This is Martin Sheen's idea because he knows how they may try to get back at them. Sam Waterston's character is troubled by this. Of course, this is fuel to the fire. It sets off much stronger reaction than leaving well enough alone. The men feel guilt, knowing they have slipped up. Jane has lunch with her friend who has to pick up the tab. She has been divorced four times herself and knows what is going on (she is played by Mary Kay Place from Fernwood and "The Big Chill.") Anyway, this all leads to more and more personal space encounters between the two women.
