A little disappointed

Warning: Spoilers
I understand Jax's rage but the fact that he would go on a rampage, killing every Chinese man he can find, based on solely on Gemma's word is a bit unbelievable. I mean sure, his priorities have shifted because of Tara's death and the survival of the club has become secondary to him, sacrificing everything he achieved last season without making sure that the Chinese were really responsible for Tara's murder is still a bit out of character. Speaking of out of character , how is Bobby okay with this? I mean he has always been the voice of reason in this show, and now he just consents, and actively participates in murdering two innocents. Unfortunately, though I still love this show, I have to admit that season 7 is no match for the previous seasons.

Toil and Till (#7.2)

Warning: Spoilers
The episode is a tad slow but it feels like it is preparing us for bigger things to happen. I really hope the second half of the season will be as crazy and capturing as the other ones.

I really just have trouble getting Jax logic. Sure he is mad and wants revenge, but he always seemed to be somebody who would actually check who to have revenge on and not just start killing people right and left and sacrificing his own club pretty much. I am so excited to see him find everything out.

Tig made me laugh a bit in this episode with his scene with Ratboy in the car. He even got a hard one! We really need more Tig before the show is over. He is sure the one I will miss.

Starting to feel like the show should have wrapped up in season six.

Sons of Anarchy was like fine red wine: it just got better with age. Unfortunately, in this, its final season, it appears we're now past the expiration date. You never want your favorite series to end, especially one that that hooks you with drama as edgy as it has been, you want it to continue as long as it STAYS good.

The show has always been about Jax, the protagonist in a modern-day retelling of a classic Shakespearean tragedy. And part of the allure has been the connection the audience has with Jax, an anti-hero we root for as he strives to keep his moral compass as injustice after injustice pounds on his soul. His son. Opie. Now Tara.

In the final scene of the season 7 premiere, while epic in execution, we lose that connection as he executes some patsy fingered by the real killer. The emotional resonance we've felt in the past regardless of what gruesome deed he is doing just isn't there anymore, as he tortures and kills this poor guy. That being said, the montage of scenes set to a cover of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody is film-making at its best.

Show-runner Kurt Sutter's original music selection continues to a show highlight. In the season's second episode, he overlays "Till its Gone" by Yelawolf for the episode's ending montage which adds significant emotional gravitas to intertwined scenes. It's worth just to see these ending montages "until its gone."

Aparently it's not just Unser with cancer...

The main writers obviously left. This was clearly written by a soap team. No depth, plenty of pathetic drama. A horrible death for a decent show.

Snowball rolling down hill.

Sons of Anarchy Season 7, episode 2. It's like they ramped up the violence to 11? And it does start feeling a bit unbelievable with all the mayhem and carnage going on.

I mean, don't get me wrong, Sons of Anarchy has always had its fair share of intense moments, but there's a point where it starts feeling a bit over the top, you know? Like, how many shootouts and bloody confrontations can one motorcycle club realistically get into without raising some serious red flags?

It's like they're trying to up the ante every episode, but in doing so, they're sacrificing some of the authenticity and groundedness that made the earlier seasons so compelling. Plus, with all the killing going on, it's hard to keep track of who's betraying who and what the ultimate endgame even is anymore.

Overall, while Sons of Anarchy Season 7, episode 2 may not be hitting the mark, hopefully, the series finds its footing again and delivers a satisfying conclusion to the story.
