A great story and concept put into an indie film. The director has chosen a smart and genuine approach to storytelling that kept me watching and enjoying; I also loved the cool soundtrack. This film is funny; the characters are solid - an accurate representation of modern dating in our times. Overall, an excellent movie to watch.

Liked this one - solid romantic comedy/drama about real people with real problems. Stylishly shot and had good production value for an indie film. Wasn't familiar with this filmmaker's work before now, but I'll be checking out more.

This is a realistic film about the struggle to balance love while being professional in the workplace that was set in Detroit. It is an excellent indie drama with a solid cast and quality film making! Definitely worth a watch!

I love the cerebral writing in the romantic comedy. The storyline and character development is highly creative and there is also a twist that you may not see coming that is dealt with in a respectful way. I reccomend this movie.

One of the things I enjoy about an indie movie is being surprised by the message. This is a fun rom com out of Detroit that gets its point across with humor and relatable conflict. Kudos to the filmmakers! I will watch the next thing out by these folks!

Having a career is important. But what if you have that, but not love? A good question for a movie. This is a very relatable film. Funny, sometimes serious, always watchable. I liked the characters a lot. Good soundtrack, too! Just a very well made indie. Enjoy!

The unpredictable shifts and changes within evolving relationships are given plenty of screen time in LOVE IS NOT ENOUGH. The film, shot in Detroit, my old stomping ground, is PG-rated romantic-themed drama that is definitely aimed at female audiences.
This has a casual, easy pace, features no cussing, next to no nudity or sex, and has solid production values. Couples may find the sexual politics an interesting case for discussion, although potential lady viewers will be happy to know that all ends with a pro-relationship viewpoint where the woman is mostly right.
Personally, the film not only convinced me that love is not enough, but it also convinced me that the compromises the male characters made in this movie (for the women) would, ultimately just make them resentful -- a lot of questionable "simping"/White Knighting going on here.
There is definitely an audience for these more PC-sensitive dramas, and this should meet your criteria if you err towards such subject matter.

Love is Not Enough was fantastic! With Detroit MI as our backdrop, this film explores the question of love and career. It's totally relatable and real and is full of great performances by a really excellent cast! Super funny, great writing, a total surprise for me to stumble upon! Love that-- indie films rock, this one's funny and smart with a lot of heart-- recommend!!

Love is not enough - always a catchy premise. This movie didn't disappoint with its deft explorations of a totally relatable modern dilemma. Great Saturday afternoon viewing for me. Lost myself in the world of young American college grads from Detroit looking to navigate financial and personal relationships in a capitalist society. So funny in good unexpected ways - love the script. An enjoyable indie comedy by Shawn Woodard that's worth watching!

I really enjoyed this film. I liked how the Director, Shawn Woodward, was able to take serious situations yet still find the humor. Not an easy thing to do but this film did it. It was a good story about hope and we all want someone in our life to share it with... Thumbs up from me.

Similar to the "When Harry Met Sally" question about whether men and women can be friends, here the question is more whether you can have a career and a true love in your life. Some fun riffs on the theme make this an entertaining indie. Worth a look.

Woodard's talent guides the well-crafted film that is relatable, funny, and maintains your interest. I'd highly recommend checking out this indie gem! Give Love Is Not Enough a watch!

The film is an entertaining exploration of the gender wars and workplace inequality, being balanced in it's assessment. There are plenty of humorous characters and scenarios and, while the material can border on cliche, it is elevated by sincerity and insightfulness. The acting is mostly solid and the lead characters worthy of rooting for. The film is ultimately an enjoyable, earnest, satisfying film.

This is the type of film that exemplifies the indie spirit. With a low budget, the movie works in the romantic comedy world without the need for today's typical nudity gags and overt sex scenes. It's a pleasant watch with multiple laugh out loud moments. It's a blast seeing fellow midwestern cast and crew put up films like this!

Had to watch this cause it's a movie from Detroit! Pretty cute film with some nice rumination on love and career. Occasionally felt a little flat with some of the sets, but you're watching for the characters who are all fun enough to recommend this one.
