Storyline: Monk becomes a King and rules with his Queen
in 15th Century Mongolia. The King wants to unite the tribes
against the Manchurians (Chinese) - but the various Mongol
factions can't seem to stop fighting each other.
In many ways this is a docu-drama rather than a movie, but both the King and his bride (Queen Ahno) aka 'The Warrior Princess' shine. The Manchurian Emperor is not displeased that the Mongols are at each others throats and invades with a massive 200,000 strong army, with newly acquired canon and rifles; you can guess the result.
Many great scenes and the plains/steppes, really are vast and at the final battle there must have been thousands of extras employed. I quite liked this and you may also. 8/10.
