Early in the movie Billy is hitch-hiking. He exits a car on a rural road that has road markings down the center and on the sides. In the next shot the road markings have completely disappeared. The likelihood of any road markings on a rural New Zealand road in the 1960s is very remote.
One of the times where Vanessa Riddell is credited for writing the screenplay, the credit reads "original sreenplay," with the "c" missing from "screen."
Near the end when Eva and Eddie are about to board the train, they are standing on the platform looking to camera left (the direction of the oncoming train) but the train's sound effects are coming from camera right.
