  Carol Peletier : He's gonna be okay. He bounces back more than any of us do.

  Rick Grimes : I used to feel sorry for kids that have to grow up now. In this. But I think I got it wrong. Growing up is getting used to the world. This is easier for them.

  Rick Grimes : When I was a kid... I asked my grandpa once if he ever killed any Germans in the war. He wouldn't answer. He said that was grown-up stuff. So... so I asked if the Germans ever tried to kill him. But he got real quiet. He said he was dead the minute he stepped in to enemy territory. Every day he woke up and told himself, rest in peace. Now get up and go to war. And then after a few years of pretending he was dead... he made it out alive. That's the trick of it, I think. We do what we need to do and then, we get to live. But no matter what we find in DC, I know we'll be okay. Because this is how we survive. We tell ourselves... that we are the walking dead.

  Daryl Dixon : We ain't them.

  Rick Grimes : We're not them. Hey. We're not.

  Daryl Dixon : We ain't them.

  [Daryl walks off from the group around the fire] 

• [Maggie kills a walker in an abandoned barn, when Maggie sees that next to the walker was a gun but the person didn't shoot herself with it] 

  Maggie Greene : She had a gun. She could've shot herself.

  Carol Peletier : Some people can't give up. Like us.

• [Carol talks to Daryl alone in the woods about his pain for the loss of Beth] 

  Carol Peletier : I think she saved my life. She saved your life, too, right?

  Carol Peletier : [Carol hands over to Daryl Beth's knife]  It was hers. We're not dead. That's what you said. You're not dead. I know you. We're different. I can't let myself - But you... I know you. You have to let yourself feel it.

  Carol Peletier : [Carol gives Daryl a kiss to his forehead]  You will.

• [Rick and his group find a group of bottled waters sitting in the middle of the road, with a sign that reads: From A Friend] 

  Tara Chambler : What else are we gonna do?

  Rick Grimes : Not this. We don't know who left it.

  Dr. Eugene Porter : If that's a trap, we already happen to be in it. But I for one, would like to think it is indeed from a friend.

  Carol Peletier : What if it isn't. They put something in it?

  Rosita Espinosa : [Eugene quickly leans down to grab for a bottled water]  Eugene!

  Tara Chambler : What are you doing, man?

  Dr. Eugene Porter : Quality assurance.

  Rick Grimes : [Abraham runs up and slaps the bottled water out of Eugene's hand]  We can't.

  [the group pauses as the clouds start to thunder, rain slowly sprinkles down, it quickly begins to fall all around them as the group laughs and smiles with such luck] 

  Father Gabriel Stokes : [Father Gabriel holds his hands up to the sky]  I'm sorry, my Lord.
