Bros before ... drugs(?)

I know it doesn't rhyme - not all things have to. And homies seem to be something I have seen before. At least the premise. But even though I have seen my fair share of movies, this was not one of them. I am quite certain this would have had a bigger impact on me, if I had watched it as a teenager.

Cool and silly premise, quite the pace to it ... and just plain ridiculous overall. You can have fun with this. But it does lack something special to put it over the top and make it better or as good as similar stuff I've seen. Again that doesn't mean this is bad ... just that if you've seen a few movies (not even as many as I have), this may not feel as fresh as it thinks it is.

Story about 4 guys getting into trouble after one of them gets framed in a failed drug deal. Playful film and vibrant acting of a young crew. Story is a bit silly, but the film is in fact all about small jokes and speed of action. Camera work is excellent, a lot off seasoned actors have small parts. A pity the central theme is drugs, an aspect of Amsterdam that should not be promoted too much. Fortunately, not too much shooting and useless nakedness. Charlie Chan Dagelet is too be watched in the future. Not an Oscar winner perhaps, but good for a night out. Including a cameo appearance of me myself & I halfway, and some great views of Amsterdam.
