Do not read if you've not watched episode yet

I must say that Banshee is edge of your seat action and is an OK replacement for SOA!!!! I really hope the fat suit was more comfy than it looked; surely better than the one worn in his current play--"The Whale". Absolutely the best part of Shuler's scene was his body blowout of the semi's floor door by Sheriff Lucas Hood. I think the best scene of the whole episode was in the fight scenes at Kai's mansion in the driveway; super awesome final assault on Nola loosing her trachea---AWESOME REALLY

Can't wait till next weeks episode to see Chaytons' reaction towards the Deputies who took out his crew at the Savoy Club; especially his little brother!! Keep on watching.

One of the best fight scenes in TV
RobTortureWright24 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
From the off this episode goes to extreme lengths and pushes the limits of what's allowed in terms of brutality shown on TV, not only that but the insanely fast pace of the episode is constant throughout. The battle that ensues between Nola and Burton is beyond violent but beautiful to witness. The use of a car in the fight sequence and the camera angles are so precise and expertly done that its a joy to watch. Each strike feels powerful and the blade cuts feel Intense but by far the most shocking moment is when Burton uses a Rolls Royce badge to ram Into Nolas throat, ripping it out along with her windpipe. It's one of those scenes you simply cannot forget, but for all the right reasons. From there we see Hood on the verge of losing everything as he is arrested and being taken back towards New York. He attempts to escape but is captured and finds himself in the middle of a situation that was setup last season and that many viewers had forgot about. Raymond Bradley, the man who came after Jason Hood for stealing his money appears, a rotund man who is losing his patience with Hoods inability to be forthright with the truth about Jason Hood he begins torturing both the agent and hood. Chaytons men begin coming after Proctor by any means necessary and attack his strip club but Brock is there and begins taking out the men one by one. Point is I could go on all day explaining how many exciting, violent and brilliant scenes just this one episode has but you have to witness it and you'll realise its not only one of the best episodes of the show but one of the best you'll ever see.

Reviewer true confession -- I'll miss Nola..

Warning: Spoilers
Work with me on this. Lets start with all the fight scenes ever done in film or TV. A few hundred thousand I am guessing.

Now let's narrow it down.

Eliminate all same sex fight scenes.

Eliminate all where the woman is the same size as the man (ie, she is not half his weight)

Eliminate all where the two fighters do NOT have equal skills.

Eliminate all that don't use the inside of a car as a prop (and gut the car in the process) Eliminate all where the car mentioned above is not a Rolls..

Eliminate all where the fight lasts less than 4 minutes.

Eliminate all films or movies more than 10 years old.

Eliminate all where the female actress is not drop-dead gorgeous

Eliminate all where the male actor is not REALLY spooky and menacing.

Eliminate all without racial undertones and do NOT start with a thrown tomahawk

Eliminate all where the fight choreography is not first class, ie is not cinema class.

Eliminate all that do not include weird and spooky flashbacks, to add mood. Even if no one knows what they refer to

OK, if you are still with me, we have really narrowed the field.

Now, pay attention, eliminate all where the fight does NOT end with the man ripping the trachea out of the woman, after slicing her open with a hood ornament

OK, now you are officially in Banshee, Penn

Welcome Pilgrim

Dragon in Banshee
kingsx_644 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Since I've never liked the character Nola, I was ecstatic to see her die. Suspending one's disbelief is something I've always been good at. I understand it's tv, or a movie. So why then did I become one of those 'give me a break' kind of people when I watched a Nola fight scene? See, I don't have any problem with girls who can kick ass. Just with this girl. I would have had an easier time seeing dragon fly across Banshee, then to accept this girl was almost unbeatable. So yea, I'm glad to see her go. But as another viewer said, the fight scene was amazing. Sad that the first scene with her I liked, is the one that killed her

Another way overrated episode

Another review says "brilliant". Are you serious? Super hood not only saves himself by magically surviving electric shock torture. He also magically saves the FBI agent who stayed alive way longer than he should have. The episode was good until super hood breaks out of the oh so convenient broken chair and kills the bad guy boss. I wanted to see him live and let hood go. But nope, hood had to magically kill him too. I mean get out the way Superman, sheriff hood is the real unstoppable super hero. I gotta keep reminding myself it's something to watch. Better than nothing I suppose.
