Everything Will Fall Into Place

You've made it past episode one of this wonderful show? Congratulations! You're almost at the point of understanding what this is all about. Almost.

The second episode continues with the exploration of our main characters, which is still the main focus. But the main plot is already in sight.

If you didn't fall in love with this show or it's characters yet, wait for episode four. That's the moment everyone I recommended this show to became obsessed.

I know that it sounds not great to say "It'll get better", but it honestly will. Not that the first episodes are bad, far from it. But since new watchers are probably still very confused, it might seem like the show can be kind of boring.

But me, who watched this show quite a few times already? I am so impressed at the amount of groundwork laid in the first two episodes. Important groundwork. And you won't want to miss the result that truly leads to greatness.

So if you're still struggling if you should continue or not: Do it. It'll be worth it.

Warning: Spoilers
The second episode is almost as good as the first. Granted, some of the main characters get almost completely ignored, but I guess that's to be expected especially in regular-length episodes ("LOST" did the same thing - in fact, it probably introduced the term "-centric" episode). There is an exciting - and unusual - car chase, and a funny and unexpected reaction from the hot actress when she learns the hot actor's secret, proving that the show can also do comedy, as well as provide great eye candy for both sexes. But for me the highlight is - again - the Indian story: it would be so easy to demonize the husband-to-be, to make him a comic-book villain, but in fact he seems to be a wonderful, tender guy - a perfect catch. It's just that the bride-to-be doesn't love him. What can ya do? The Bollywood-inspired musical number was terrific. 8/10.

I wanted to give this series a chance after the somewhat interesting first episode.

I'm only ten minutes into episode 2 and I just can't stand it. It feels so pathetic and phoney. Maybe the Series does get better but this is a terrible sign. I can't subject Myself to this awful dialogue, poor acting and ideology masquerading as a television show any longer.

I give up.

Based to the needless sex scenes and gay couples cuddling in bed scenes that hold no purpose, I have decided to not watch more. If the first episode was a total mess, the second episode is totally lost.

I have no idea what this tried to be or who it is aimed for. Everything in it is basically filler material which fails at being slice of life. Yet the series claims to be sci-fi mystery. I guess the real mystery is how on earth did people manage to sit thru all of it.

Only target audience I can think of based to the filler sex scenes are facebook casuals and people who can get something out of relationship drama even when the characters don't have personalities or any redeeming qualities other than their horny shelves.

Then again - the trained semi-naked bodies and liberal couple shippings are nothing other than very mild soft-core fanservice and clear agenda which I assume not even a tumblr user could find to be anything spectacular. There is only one interesting character and she has had screen time for 5 minutes now. Thanks but no thanks.

Yes, this show has a strong liberal bent. But it is well produced

I agree with the other reviewer that the transgender issues and the pride parade don't need to be there. However, they don't take up too much of the show overall. As for the gay characters, that scene was hilarious.

"I am also a We" is better than the pilot but it suffers from the same issues, several different plots that have no relation to each other and have no hint of how they'll fit in to the story overall. Maybe this won't matter by future episodes. But it's clumsy storytelling.

We learn some more about the sensates' abilities in the final moments in a car chase. Finally the telepathic abilities are shown in an environment where they actually have some impact. Sense8 uses tropes such as a mysterious stranger appearing for a moment in a pride parade to try to arouse interest throughout the episode. But the problem is that's an artificial way to do it, almost like the Wachowskis knew there wasn't enough sci-fi in this sci-fi show so they threw these bits in. Still, I'm interested where this is going to go.
