Red Rain
Jwgrant10015 July 2014
Warning: Spoilers
this episode had less action then the previous episodes but it had A lot of drama which would be a good thing in this type of series i DO NOT like the science teacher i think she will die before the season ends I also think juniors uncle killed Angie. I also think the new girl that was found drowning in the lake was sent by the dome to protect something. I thought the red rain was too much but i understood the point but if the future episodes keep getting more cheesy i would have too walk away from the show I mean that if aliens randomly surface I'm out. In the first 2 episodes of season 2 i started to like big Jim(I hated him in season 1) But this episode i think he is going back to his old self aka a jerk.

Under the dome, help I'm smothering.
cablesweep22 January 2016
The problem that I have with this series, is that it would have been a good mini series like "The Stand," but it is a story that goes on for years. I am only on Season 2, and can't imagine dealing with this dome much longer. Even at season 2, it is already stretched thin. I am starting to feel smothered by the dome and just want it to go away.

The acting however is a joy, with Breaking Bad's Dean Norris, and Rachelle Lefevre holding the sometimes good sci-fi, sometimes non- believable script together. The red rain in this episode is a bit much, and if they show that cow in the beginning being split in half one more time I may have to scream. Besides, the women are very attractive, and easy on the eyes, especially Lefevre. The real treat in this episode is Dwight Yokam with an outstanding performance. He is a true acting talent; something I hadn't realized till now.

All in all Under the Dome is worth watching if you can make it to the end, which seems to be adding up as a bottomless pit.

More religious racism...
heerohawwah15 July 2014
Warning: Spoilers
This series has been going pretty well but this yet another episode where some religious 'nut case' representing Christian's faces off against an atheist school teacher using 'science'. At this point I can only say that the writers of this episode and previous episodes which contain religious content are in fact religious racists. They are promoting the idea that any who believes in the Bible or other 'religious books' doesn't believe in scientific fact, logic, or even reason. This is of course completely false and ignorant both theologically and scientifically, and is slowing turning Under the Dome into yet another small minded series based on atheist prejudices. Perhaps they should do an episode where a religious evolutionist starts murdering all the white people, or black people, or Asian people because "science" has proved they are less evolvedÂ… Aka Darwinian evolution...

So the town polluting the lake is reason for the red rain?! All of a sudden?! The water seemed clean when Maxine's mom drowned in it in season 1. So within a week or 2 an entire lake instantly became so toxic that it caused acid rain? A couple episodes ago julia pulled mystery girl out of the water without issue. And then rebecca is able to neutralize the chemical in the lake because she happens to have the right counter agent in a high enough volume to treat an entire lake?! The writing gets worse with each episode! And you mean to tell me that barbie, a trained soldier couldn't make a 15 ft shot with a pistol when lyle was holding rebecca hostage? That should have been an easy shot for any trained soldier. And why are so many of the new characters complete psychopaths in season 2?
