You Can't Be Serious!!!

I don't typically like to read movie reviews before I have the chance to view them, in my opinion they can be extremely unreliable, especially with the rapid growth of the internet. This however is one of those cases where I wish I would have because after making it 35 minutes into the movie it deserves the ratings it has received.

What I did find funny was the email I received from Netflix stating "we just added a movie you might like". Seriously I don't think the biggest Randy Couture fan could find this movie entertaining.

Keep in mind I only made it 35 minutes into the movie, so unless you want to gamble the movie total redeems itself during the remaining 50 minutes, my advice would be not to steer clear.

A couple of treasure hunters obtain a genuine treasure map at a seedy Mexico City bar, so you know it has to be real. The treasure hunters travel to Campeche where people are getting sick. Anna (Natali Yura) is there to help and has three other Amerian friends, one of which is looking for "The White Witch," a local legend.

The film opens as if it is going to be a grindhouse with Randy Couture playing Dwayne Johnson. We then switch to the subplot to build up the story and the drama aspect doesn't work no matter how many pregnant women they jam into the script. Action scenes were not compelling. Amateur attempt that needed a better script that didn't look like it was copied from Scooby-doo.

Guide: No swearing, sex, or nudity.

Be prepared to be bored......

Really bad Movie

I tried to watch this movie with some friends. At first i thought they are making fun of me and the real movie starts a little later. Oh man was i wrong. The acting in this flick is terrible. The story seems to be put together from a lot of silly movies. Filming scenes in sepia dosn't make them good or scary. Best save your time.

Why oh why did I even finish this movie. Something told me to cut it off in the first minute. This was truly the worst horror movie I've watched, matter effect this movie is the worst action, horror, adventure, drama, fantasy, comedy or whatever genre you want to put it under. They had to know it was horrible before releasing it..Netflix should be ashamed for even giving this type of material to their customers.

Aside from the first 3 seconds, this movie is simply cheap and ridiculous. I can't tell if it was ever trying to be a serious horror film or a wannabe low budget porn film. The acting is that bad.

Movie has the look and feel of college student's first film project using their parent's weekly allowance as the budget. The movie does not even reach the video quality of today's smartphones(actually a smartphone video would have been a big upgrade). Writing, direction and acting is on par with someone who wrote, directed the entire movie while on a week long vacation in a Central/South American country.

I can enjoy a low budget B movie....this does not qualify.

Cheap

Let's be frank here, right off the bat this was a c-list movie. Randy Couture has never done anything good. Discount Danny Trejo (Chuck Zito), bad supporting roles and cheap camera shots only contribute to kill any sense of immersion. The story has been repeated so many times it's hard to go in with any hype and we're met with exactly that; a rewashed rehashed story that brings nothing new.

Don't waste your time.

Okay this is how it's going to go if you love Randy Couture your curious about this movie, what's their to say because the movie is very forgettable flick ever and the Cinematography isn't great or good at all it's BAD some of scenes feels like theirs dash camera's and somehow i watched this movie on his birthday 22

of June i am like is this a joke ? and i love Randy Couture a lot in UFC a fourth member of the UFC Hall of Fame. and i loved Randy in Expendables 1-3 Hijacked now Hijacked is eh but at least it's better then this film. now with this very forgettable film it's so and so cheap film like it almost feels like a student film, and story is all over the place next half hour you just easy forget what the heck is going on ? what's going on to plot of film a lot of forgettable film. and

Randy Couture looks like main role but he is in movie their and their but mostly its Anna (Natali Yura) as lead role more then randy she is nurse not annoying or anything like that The treasure hunters travel to Campeche where people are getting sick. working at some place not a hospital more like there's sick people and theirs doctors working around and every time theirs patient about to die they inject this needle so they can save them and keep them alive, those

doctors are looking for this Antidote this thing will cure them.she has 2 other American friends, and a boyfriend witch he is a idiot. one of which is looking for "The White Witch," a local legend and guy puts cameras so they can catch the witch one tape he is not their to catch it but he is their to get footage and put it on internet. in the internet i am like what the heck people will think it's fake as hell who is going to believe on that ? if you think this is Horror film where Randy Couture will hunt and kill witches NO a cocky treasure hunters

hell it will give you headaches, look if your here for Randy couture he will appear in film a lot of times but it shows little bit more of Natali Yura character all that and film is just boring as hell and none of story is completed like half of it, is not completed at all. and stupid twist as well her doctor her boss turns out to be bad guy wants all his patients to be sicked and turned into possessed people for witches and al of BAD CGI and yes people i am not here for Oscar award winning, i know what i was getting myself into here it's such a bad flick very bad movie and Randy Couture i know why also Chuck zito as well because of paycheck look i love cast i wish Natali Yura would get a better movie, better agent because this movie sucks, she is known for dead trigger Dolph lundgren

another cheap film but not cheapest like this film and Reprisal Bruce willis and frank grillo, worked with couple action stars nice. but just in a wrong movie in this cheap film. and i want Randy to be in better movies as well i didn't expect this how in hell did they put him in a horror movie and they screwed this up badly director has made 4 movies now they all have 3.8 all that it's badly done film and it's most forgettable film to laugh at, people if you want to watch this film most forgettable film just for randy couture save some time and watch this film. this is most easily film ever and their aren't many sadly fight scenes with couture just some scenes of movie. this film sucks really bad.

You're Not Seriously Considering Watching This?

Over and over I shake my head wondering why this project got the green light to go into production. After reading the screen play the writers should have been exorcised then fired. This is a great story, lots of potential, unfortunately turned into a movie by a group of lobotomized zombies. The continuity supervisor slept through the entire production along with the wardrobe dept and set designers if they even hired any. Let's discuss one scene for those that have seen the film. The jungle scene were the group hires a guide to lead them to the temple. The guide takes them on a trek through the jungle wearing a tank top and a machete, of course the hike now includes an overnight and the guide has no gear not even backpack. It's lousy scene prep, layout and storylines like this that turn this film into a disaster and I haven't even touched on the acting.... just find something else to watch.

I hesitate to call it a film

The plot, if you can call it that, of this cinematic abortion is like trying to understand the ramblings of a drunken toddler. I genuinely feel sorry for the actors in the movie, as this was nothing more than career suicide. The characters have the logic of a potato, but somehow make more sense than the story they are in. You would have a more fulfilling and enjoyable time staring at a blank screen than watching this.

Truely Awful

So much was wrong with this movie - the acting, script, continuity, pristine sets / props in what should be a dusty dirty location....

Not even the occasional appearance of a "believable" actor able to deliver their lines or an inspired vista from Jorge Romans drone-cam redeems this movie for me

Trying too hard to be a Guy Richie lock-stock, I think the daily rushes were sunk with copious amounts of Tequila - not a bad thing, but when you're working the next day lads - come on!!

The lack of a continuity credit explains how 2 actors can run splashing out from the sea to save their girl, only to appear seconds later on the beach bone dry....

Vehicles driving on dirty dust track roads are valet clean.... with CLINICA signage that goes from pristine to flakey in less than a day

2 Treasure Hunting meat-heads who have a fight every 15 minutes, but their costume always looks washed & pressed....

Poorly paid "nurses" who have access first to a car, then pickup and then a clinic vehicle...

And, who all live in a humid jungle village but sleep fully clothed, without fans or aircon?

Then there's the lack of mosquitos - even the surprise out-of-jungle city visitors don't get nibbled....

Where can I buy some of those amazing jungle webcams that can stream seamlessly to the shack they all live in...

But for me, the biggest crime is so little of the story is "shown" or discovered by the viewer; Instead it's 'told' in crass back story dialogue and unbelievable 'speeches'

Such a pity, as the premise is actually good - just poorly written and executed.

I like randy couture as an actor, i liked him in the expendables (i own all three and have watched them several times), i recently watched the manson brothers midnight zombie massacre and enjoyed that movie a lot (i love zombie flicks but this is the first enjoyable one ive seen IN AWHILE, most are low budget trash), about 15 minutes in and i gave up, i couldnt watch it anymore, im sorry you got roped into this randy, i hope they gave you a bonus for agreeing to this, the true nightmare was for everyone acting in this film, im sure they stocked up on ulcer medication to get through it.

Bad script, worse acting (Randy Couture was the best actor if that says anything), cinematography is horrible and the editing.... forget about it. Never have I seen a more sepia favored color scheme without it being a dream sequence or flashback.

Lame storyline and bad acting. Without fast forward, I couldn't have watched this garbage. (BTW, the whole idea of "treasure hunters" stealing ancient relics made of gold, just for the sake profiting, disgusts me to the core).

PROS:

-The beautiful natural Mexican landscapes.

-The presence of Chuck Zito made the film just a LITTLE more bearable.

Don't waste your precious time watching this movie.

Really not make this up, this movie really make me asleep when watching. The story is heading somewhere but just so boring and non sense and unprofessional in many aspects, try so hard to stay awake when watch but I fail after 50 mins.

On Netflix; almost worth a 5 of 10!

Dispatched by Doctors Without Borders, ANNA and her fiancé MANUEL try to save the suffering villagers of a remote community in the heart of the Mexican jungle.
