For over a decade, Shark Tank has revolutionized reality TV and even businesses. However, while the show has transformed the lives of countless entrepreneurs while inspiring aspiring business owners worldwide, one of the Sharks seems to have had a streak of bad luck. In fact, after Daymond John joined the likes of Mark Cuban and Kevin O’Leary in 2009, he quickly wound up becoming one of the most unpopular investors on the show.

While the investor has been disliked due to his lack of assertiveness and charisma, other factors have also contributed to his unpopularity. Family dramas are a tricky genre as they need to be relatable to the audience. They are supposed to be realistic; at least in the last decade, a lot of the films and shows in this genre cater to realism as an important element. A bit of a change from the ones in the 1980s and 1990s, when the films were especially filled with melodrama and hammy performances. Kapoor & Sons, Do Dooni Chaar, Aisha, Dil Dhadakne Do, Gulmohar, Ram Prasad Ki Tehrvi, Paglait, and Khosla ka Ghosla are some of the fine examples of family dramas that hit the right note.

Set in the colorful and chaotic world of Night City, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners has earned praise for its striking graphics, engaging plot, and diverse cast of characters. Directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi, the series has captured the attention of viewers all over the world. However, despite the success, the series’ limited runtime has prevented the director to explore and develop the plot for many characters. Among them, the most notable is none other than Rebecca, who is also one of the most underrated characters in the series.

Based on the video game Cyberpunk 2077 by Polish studio CD Projekt Red, the anime series was animated by Japanese animation studio Trigger under the supervision of CD Projekt and premiered on Netflix in September 2022. With the highly detailed universe of Cyberpunk 2077 serving as the setting, limiting the storyline to a small number of episodes led to certain characters and subplots being underexplored.

Dr. Ruth Westheimer, whose grandmotherly approach as a sex therapist made her a pop icon in the 1980s, died Friday in New York City at home at age 96.
Her publicist, Pierre Lehu, who co-authored books with Westheimer, confirmed her death.
“She was restful when she passed away. Her son and daughter were with her and holding her hand at that moment,” Lehu told People, adding, “It was as peacefully as she could possibly go. It’s amazing, there was stuff still going on in her life [she has a book coming out this fall with Allison Gilbert] and someone wants to make a biopic about her.”
Born Karola Ruth Siegel on June 4, 1928, in Wiesenfeld, Germany, she lost her entire family during World War II. Her father, Julius, was taken away by the Nazis in 1938. Six weeks later, she was on a train to Switzerland as part of the ‘”kindertransport,” the organized escape of thousands of Jewish children out of Germany.

“Love.,” the four-time platinum single from Kendrick Lamar’s Pulitzer Prize-winning opus Damn., was made an inescapable earworm and a breath of fresh air with a timeless hook from Zacari. At the time, the young singer was not yet signed to Kendrick’s label, Top Dawg Entertainment, but was managed by Tde co-president Moosa Tiffith. Back then, his discography had only consisted of a few tracks on SoundCloud. “I [was] still figuring out how even to record and what type of music I want to make when that happened,” he tells Rolling Stone.

“It’s the basic rule of musicals: characters sing when their emotions become so intense they can’t do anything else.” That quote from Grammy, Emmy and Tony award-winning composer Tom Kitt perfectly sums up the experience of watching a movie musical. A genre arguably more expressive than any other, where dialogue is broken up by sporadic bursts into song and dance. Some movie musicals like ‘Hairspray’ or ‘Grease’ make the audience want to jump out of their seats and sing along to the lively songs, while others like ‘Les Miserables’ or ‘Cabaret’ might leave viewers in a puddle of tears. Many films in this genre were based on original Broadway productions and adapted for the big screen, which allows for bigger sets, Hollywood starpower and exposure to a wider audience. While every movie musical has made an impact on the film industry in one way or another, these eight...

Netflix isn't just known for cancellations, especially in recent years.
It's also the reigning champion of spontaneous cancellations, catching fans off-guard and delivering some real gut punches.
Some refer to it as a cancellation loop, and it's making viewers wary of investing their time and subscription money on new and exciting shows.
Netflix is dealing with the self-inflicted wounds that come with popular shows, forcing them into an endless loop that's not based on reality but perception.
It's also changing successful, tried-and-true storytelling formulas and driving creators to other streaming platforms so their product stands a chance at longevity.
To be fair, this is not unique to Netflix, especially as other streaming platforms continue to grow.
But Netflix is the Og with the most shows and brand recognition.
Because of that, the damage to the brand from especially infamous cancellations feels more extensive to fans.

Walt Disney recently released the first trailer for Moana 2, set to be released on November 27, 2024. Starring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Auliʻi Cravalho, the movie aims to build on the success of the original 2016 release, which grossed around $687 million at the box office. The trailer itself promises an entertaining watch, which sees Moana set sails into unchartered territory once again, in a bid to ‘sail new waters.’
However, despite a promising trailer, it seems as if the Dwayne Johnson movie has run into a snag already, as its release date clashes with another major project. It stars none other than Ariana Grande, and boasts of Michelle Yeoh, Cynthia Erivo, and Jeff Goldblum as well. Based on characters from the 1900 novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Wicked also releases on November 27, 2024.

Love, Divided is a Spanish romantic comedy directed by Patricia Font starring Aitana and Fernando Guallar.
Aitana, a rising star in Spain, blessed with enviable beauty and talent, and her equally talented and handsome co-star, Fernando Guallar, are the faces of this new romantic comedy on Netflix. Though it may not be groundbreaking, it’s sure to provide a heartwarming watch.
Plot
They’re neighbors, a bit quirky, co-existing without truly living together. They share sounds through a non-soundproof wall, providing an auditory glimpse into each other’s lives. He’s an inventor; she’s a pianist. Can you imagine something sparking in their hearts, something called love? Of course, you’ve heard this story before!
Movie Review
Critically speaking, one might define this as a piece of cinema with scant originality, simple humor, and a script that seems to write itself. A humorless comedy we’ve seen a thousand times,...

It’s easy to forget about the X-Men in a world where the Avengers have dominated the box office for over a decade. Despite both teams being introduced to the world with their comic books in 1963, the Avengers always seemed to edge ahead in popular culture. ‘Avengers: Endgame’ is the second highest grossing movie of all time with $2.7 billion, and ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ is the closest X-Men film to that success with $746 million.
The debate over which team is better may never end, but ‘X-Men ‘97’ provides a strong argument for fans on the mutants’ side. The ten-episode Disney+ series picks up right after the events of ‘X-Men: The Animated Series,’ which ran from 1992 to 1997. Episodes release weekly, and the first three are streaming now. In 2023, two tours were dominating the road. It seemed like every weekend more and more people were flocking to the stadiums across America to see Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour and Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour. While it does seem like everyone was seeing these artists live, tickets were not only hard to come by, but pricey on the resale market. That’s why when audiences saw camera crews on stage at both tours, it was only suspected that Taylor Swift and Beyoncé would be coming out with their own concert films. However, these films were not exactly what the public expected, not only raking in millions of dollars at the movie theater, but also, allowing these shows to become more accessible than ever before.

In the Summer of 2022, Baz Luhrmann's ‘Elvis‘ premiered in theatres across the country. The biopic, starring Austin Butler as the title figure, reminded past generations of the famed singer and taught younger generations of the Elvis hysteria that took over the world before they were even born. Not only did these younger generations learn of the Elvis Presley legacy, but they also reignited a love for this icon. TikToks of teens visiting Graceland with remixes of “Viva Las Vegas” and “Suspicious Minds” swept the For You Page.
Later that year, writer and director, Sofia Coppola, revealed on her Instagram page that she would soon begin production on ‘Priscilla’. This film would be based on the book Elvis and Me, written by Elvis’ wife, Priscilla. Set pictures soon leaked of Jacob Elordi, of ‘Euphoria’ and ‘Saltburn’ fame, playing the King of Rock and Roll.

This weeks 20 Questions on Deadline guest is Dan Stevens. Of course we all remember his first major foray onto our screens as Matthew Crawley in Downton Abbey, and the untimely death of his character that had fans raging for his return.
But Hollywood called, and since then, Stevens has accrued a long list of credits, including Beauty and the Beast, I’m Your Man, Love, Death and Robots, Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities and Welcome to Chippendales. Recently he voiced a character in the Oscar-winning The Boy and the Heron, and next up, his new film Godzilla x Kong: the New Empire will be in theaters March 29th.
In this episode, Stevens digs into his reasons for needing a Taylor Swift collab, why Elvis is top of his list of dream roles, and how shooting Godzilla x Kong in Australia came with plenty of real-live snakes and killer trees.
