In case of doubt, fairy tales
tenshi_ippikiookami12 March 2017
Surprisingly, after a shaky start, "The Librarians" has found its ground pretty fast. Episode 6, "The Librarians: And the Fables of Doom" is the best episode so far in this very young show.

An accident on a bridge calls the attention of the librarians, who go to the place of the accident to discover that a lot of strange things seem to be happening. And they seem to be related to classical fairy tales...

The episode is one centered on a classical on fantasy shows: fairy tales. And it does a great job, with a very funny and charming episode. It is pretty early on "The Librarians" life, but the dynamics between the characters have been clearly established, and the acting and direction are fresh and with lots of energy. Ezekiel Jones, for example, who started as a character who was a little bit annoying, is being played with more and more confidence by John Harlan Kim. Making the character's moral compass always pointing towards own-benefit makes for some very funny moments. But it is not only Jones, but all the characters who have their own chance to shine.

"The Librarians" may not be a great show, but for now, it is pretty fun.

New favorite episode of The Librarians!
jksword085 January 2015
My family and I sat down together and watched The Librarians last night. It is such a fun show for all ages. I have watched all 6 episodes so far. I keep saying each one is my favorite, but I do believe this one is the winner. I just love Christian Kane and how versatile he is. We got to see several sides of him last night. He is so expressive. I do hope The Librarians gets renewed for a second season so we can learn more about all the characters, especially Jake Stone. I really loved seeing Christian Kane in some action scenes again. There was a glimpse of Eliot Spencer from Leverage in there I do believe, but the humor in The Librarians: And The Fables of Doom was priceless. I am going to have to read up on my fairy tales, however, as I did not remember some of the details.

Wonderful fun

This was a fun and fascinating episode of a great show! I really enjoyed the way it played out. Seeing how each character handled the effects was truly worth watching. My only "complaint" is that I wish it was longer- I would have loved to see each character have their own, full length story. This show has something for adults and children, which is great if you want something to watch with a group- be it friends or family. And you could jump into this episode even if you never saw the show before. The twist was unexpected, and the creativity in the "new story" was especially rewarding. I recommend this episode to everyone.

The Librarians and Fairy Tales come true
jimmiemary5 January 2015
SO loved this episodes I found out that i needed to study up on my fairy tales though HA HA Christian Kane as the Huntsman was perfect he fit that role to a tee. As a real lover of wolves that part had to have been hard for him to play at one point there. I am sure it was totally thrilling for him to be able to work with the owl though. That had to be really cool The whole cast really did rock their roles in this episode. I think this was such a creative way to do the show. The writers of this show are just awesome. I thought the Christmas episode was great creative and fun too now i am torn as to which one is my favorite! Hope i don't have to choose. I am hoping that The Librarians gets many more seasons!

Ripped off of super

This episode shares many similarities with a supernatural episode. Season 3 episode 5 called bed time stories came out in 2007 while this episode and the fables of doom came out in 2015.

This episode still is good and puts a new twist in this topic. Just not very original.

Tedious Television

This was one of the worst episodes that I can remember watching in quite some time. The actors, the writing, and the direction were all mediocre and flat. Amazingly enough, for a show made in 2014-5, the cast was not ethnically diverse with the exception of the Asian actor who was born in Australia. I am not being racist, just noting that the vast majority of the actors were white. I have only seen the first six episodes of the series, but this seems to be true. A more diverse cast may have made it more interesting.
