'Postman Pat's Pet Sematary (2011)' (Letterboxd lists it as releasing in 2013; as the original video is no longer available, I can't be sure of its true release date) is a claymation parody of 'Pet Sematary (1989)' starring characters from 'Postman Pat (1981-2013)'. It's an irreverent and gruesome affair, similar to the infamous 'Thingu (2012)' (also known as 'Pingu's The Thing (2012)') but arguably even more subversive. Not only does it feature a hefty dosage of clay-made gore, it also features quite a few naughty words. Who knew Postman Pat had such a potty mouth? The frankness of the dialogue, though obviously immature, is undeniably rather funny at times. The gore, too, is as oddly enjoyable as ever, capitalising on the contrast between its kid's show characters and horrific imagery. The short has a lot of charm overall. It's an entertaining and often amusing affair throughout. 7/10.
