This episode had me laughing hysterically out loud. The dynamic between Matt, his father, and his step-mother is hilariously entertaining. From the expletive-filled arguments to the entitled demands, the three of them make this episode my favorite so far!

Inappropriate race based jokes
skim-771482 May 2020
I enjoy Episodes. It's not the greatest show ever but it's easy to watch.
This particular episode of Episodes was not enjoyable at all. In fact the show featured two highly inappropriate and grossly stereotypical jokes about a) black people and b) asian people. The first "joke" was regarding a black nurse, where one of the characters tells her husband to hide his watch. The second "joke" was regarding a story Matt LeBlanc was telling about a korean girl who first, he called what Sean referred to as a 'Vietnamese dish', and second, he called 'Kung Pao Shrimp'. Really?! This is the year 2020 and this is a show that was renewed five times - I would have hoped that the show's writers could have been less lazy and racist, and actually done the work to write in jokes that are not based on the worst stereotypes of people. Of course, when I checked the list of writers - lo and behold, they are all old white men. Maybe I shouldn't have been surprised, but it's disappointing nonetheless. I will not be watching this show any longer.
