Most of the negative reviews and comments that I've read so far seem to be against the Liver King instead of the documentary. In my opinion, the documentary is a well told story and presents a fascinating picture of who Brian is and I think it's a worthwhile watch. It seems disingenuous to the people who made this documentary and just plain ridiculous to give this a 1/10 review because you don't like the Liver King as a person. Sure, he's a narcissist, liar, cheater and overall POS but this is a forum to provide reviews on the documentary and not the person. As someone who didn't know a whole lot about his story I think this documentary does a good job of painting a picture of his story and it kept my attention for the hour+ journey.
Unwatchable. Obviously paid for and produced by the Liver Fraud himself, this "documentary" is nothing more than a disgraced conman fellating himself for an hour in the hope of replenishing his former audience who rightly abandoned him.
The guy made millions off the back of lies, gave millions false hope of a better physique, and probably killed people with his cuckoo conspiracy health advice.
At one point he says "I swear to god" after telling a bizarre story about his first orgasm. I laughed. Not because of the cringeworthy story, but because of his genuine delusion that anyone would ever believe a word that comes out of his mouth again.
I don't understand why this moron - and others like him - don't just take their fraudulent earnings (he claims to be worth over $300M) and disappear into obscurity once they're outed and shamed.
The narcissism is obviously so strong that the Loser King would rather live in a world where people continue to hate him than forget he exists. 0/10.

I love these untold stories as sports mean a lot to me. The untold sports stories have been incredible in the past and have highlighted some of the best athletes in history. These are literally the best and some of my favorite sports stories to date. However, this was such a waste of an untold story. The Liver King is no athlete and didn't deserve the screen time he got via Netflix. No one cares about this person and this story didn't need to be told. He has been on screen for clout, and also this was not insightful for anybody. While he may have built himself up, he was still lying to you all long.
In more ways than one, this family is in desperate need of a detox from Dad's narcissism and greed, and from Mom's enabling of the long running charade. I felt sorry for their boys. They seem like good kids who are unfortunately caught in the crosshairs of their parents' lustful greed. Both of their facial acne is indicative of poor gut health, and probable stress; sad when their family can afford a whole foods diet that will help clear it up. It must be hard for them to grow up in the spotlight of a sellout father for whom they most likely want to admire, albeit knowing that has swindled thousands - if not millions of people. I'll bet GNC will take special interest in his confession of defrauding them, too.
Nobody wants to hear from this guy, and this documentary is a huge part of the problem. It ventured quite a bit into excuse-making and dodging accountability. I don't care if he admits he "misled" people. He lied through his teeth to sell products for a lifestyle that is not actually real, then turned around and claimed he had to for "all those struggling with mental health". In reality he took advantage of those people by selling a fake way to quickly "get better". How anybody can still believe a single thing out of this guy's mouth is beyond me. People like this will do whatever they can for attention. Don't give it to them. Let them be forgotten like all the others.
