Kelsea Ballerini is unapologetically picking favorites on her new album.
The 24-year-old country star popped by People Now to discuss her second studio album Unapologetically, which instantly climbed the charts and sat at No. 1 just nine minutes after its release on iTunes.

Kelsea Ballerini had a lot to do over her bachelorette weekend, but the country singer made sure to leave some time to take a selfie with Jennifer Lopez.
Ballerini, 24, kicked off the weekend by flying to Las Vegas with some of her closest friends by her side.
Wearing a “Feyoncé” top Ballerini posted a video from the trip where she payed homage to Kristen Wiig’s character in Bridesmaides.
“I’m ready to party with the best of ‘em,” she said in her best Wiig impression, which she captioned with her special bachelorette hashtag: #Kbmethermate.

Say what you want about Gotham and its radical reinterpretation of the Batman mythos, but it’s been on a hell of a roll this season. Although it came down to the wire, this writer, for one, thanks his lucky stars that the DC Comics adaptation has been renewed for a fourth season, albeit on a different night.
Now, some of you may ask how a lifelong fan of the Dark Knight could condone such a re-imagining, but the answer is simple: The writing and onscreen performances have been razor sharp. Aside from giving us the Court of Owls for the first time in live action, we’ve witnessed Edward Nygma finally embrace his destiny by becoming the Riddler, Cameron Monaghan return as the brilliant proto-Joker that is Jerome Valeska, as well as Bruce Wayne himself taking his first great strides toward cape and cowl.

Jerome is back! After last week’s return from the mid-season hiatus, Gotham looks to come back in full force. They are starting yet another plot line. My main issue with Gotham this season is that it doesn’t seem to know what direction it wants to go. All the hype prior to Season 3 revolved around The Court of Owls. Remember them? They have been a part of this season…kind of. There was the Tetch story line, which was good, then the Barnes story line, which wasn’t. Next came the Mario Falcone plot, which was good, and lead to a great mid-season finale only to return with disappointment. Last week started well with a rightfully mad Lee demanding Gordon’s arrest all while Carmine sent Zsasz after him. This was a wasted opportunity as Lee went to visit Barnes and pulled a 180 telling Carmine...

Tonight's episode of Gotham reminded me how enjoyable this show can be when its respective storylines stick to what they're good at. Smile Like You Mean It saw a disturbingly stellar return of Jerome, while also effectively balancing some smaller, plot-progressing "B" stories. It did this by letting each storyline do what it was best at and ending with one hell of a cliffhanger...

The day many Gotham fans have waited for has finally arrived. Jerome, whom most fans believe to be the beloved Batman villain, The Joker, has finally returned. The show has never outright confirmed that Jerome is the Joker, Cameron Monaghan’s commitment to the role and mass assumption by fans may lead to that prophecy coming true after all. Hey, I’m not mad about it. This week on Gotham: A local cult enacts their plan to revive Jerome, but it doesn’t exactly go as planned, which results in some mutilation. Gordon and Bullock try to stay a step ahead of Jerome’s followers. Penguin is “helped”

Before Edward Nygma fully embraces his Riddler persona, Gotham fans have much to look forward to when Jerome once again walks among the living in tonight’s episode, “Mad City: Smile Like You Mean It.”
Thanks to TV Insider, a fresh batch of images have been released in advance of said episode depicting Jerome acting more Joker-ish than ever before. In addition to sporting a reattached face that is no doubt a nod to the Batman: Death of the Family comic book arc, we see him embrace his inner showman when he dons a ringleader’s outfit for a circus that we can only guess won’t be fun for the whole family.
Actor Cameron Monaghan, the proto-Joker himself, had this to say regarding his highly anticipated return:
“I really can’t wait for people to see it. We have a few different looks [for him]…it looks really great.

No matter how hard Jim and Bullock may try, they're not going to stop the revival of Jerome. Dwight is determined and will do whatever is necessary to raise his hero.
How Jerome ends up at the Medical Examiner's office is anyone's guess, but wouldn't it be cool if he just popped awake on the table and scared the living daylights out of Lee?
It looks like Penguin makes a visit to Barbara. There's not going to be enough alcohol to make it all go away when he figures out what's really going on. If he does.
We don't know what's happening with Bruce and gang, but we do know they figure what Selina's mom is really doing back in town. We still think it has to do with the Court of Owls, but we'll have to wait and see.

Following its holiday hiatus, Gotham returned to the airwaves in style yesterday evening thanks to the midseason premiere of “Mad City: Ghosts.”
In many ways, the episode laid the groundwork for the remainder of season 3, as Mayor Oswald Cobblepot’s reign begins to falter under pressure from Ed Nygma. But without question, it was the long-anticipated return of Jerome Valeska that stole the headlines. Resurrecting the show’s proto-Joker has been long on the cards, but it appears as though Gotham‘s creative team are also leaving the door open for a Harley Quinn cameo appearance further down the line – likely during the season 3 finale.
During an interview with TV Guide, producer John Stephens teased that “we might see [Quinn] in Episode 22,” which will seemingly tee up season 4’s narrative arc. All of this is yet to be confirmed, so don’t go banking on a Harley Quinn cameo in Gotham season 3 just yet.

In the mid-season premiere of Gotham last night we saw the return of a very creepy looking Jerome, who will most likely end up being The Joker. It looks like later this season he will be joined by the show's own version of Harley Quinn!
The Harley Quinn news comes from executive producer John Stephens who told TV Guide, “We might see [her] in Episode 22,” and then teased that the character will be the “launching point” for the main plot of the fourth season of Gotham.
I'm excited and curious to see how Gotham's version of this character will turn out. There's no information on what that might look like, so we'll just have to wait and see.
I also included a promo spot for next week's episode, titled “Smile Like You Mean It,” along with a plot description:

Ignore any suggestion that 2016 was not a fantastic year for cinema. Moments linger (the campfire dance in American Honey, the final encounter in Certain Women, the Tracy Letts–Logan Lerman debate in Indignation, the first ten minutes of High-Rise, both “Camelot”-soundtracked sequences in Jackie, any scene that featured Ralph Fiennes in A Bigger Splash) and performances resonate (everyone in Moonlight, Emma Stone in La La Land, Kate McKinnon in Ghostbusters).
Choosing ten favorites and five honorable mentions is nasty business; I wish I could have included Warren Beatty’s Rules Don’t Apply, a ridiculously underrated film that does not deserve to be remembered as a flop. But it just missed the cut. (Also, I was unable to see Silence in time for end-of-year consideration.) What these fifteen films have in common is the ability to surprise, confound, and delight in equal measure. Let’s see 2017 top that.

Having been recently treated to a grisly new photo of Jerome Valeska courtesy of actor Cameron Monaghan, Fox has thankfully released more images from the second episode of Gotham to air this January, titled “Smile Like You Mean It.” As of now, it remains unclear whether the “Mad City” storyline will continue with these installments or if the network will soon release a new subtitle for the remainder of the season, a la’ season 2 being divided with “Rise of the Villains” and “Wrath of the Villains.”
While they are quite dynamic, the newly released bounty of promo photos don’t hint at the plot of the episode as much as the one of Jerome lying on the slab does. On the positive side, they assure us that many key characters will be putting in appearances and, if we’re to infer anything from what’s been provided,...
