I enjoyed this film very much. The artistic effort is easily recognized as you watch it. The story was unique and acting seemed very authentic. It's easy to see why this film has won such a prestigious award and has such great reviews. The emotion seems so real and it's great to see a movie with such strong female leads. It was also nice to see a film with a lesbian as a main character and for her not to die in some tragic way. This representation is important and this film made it happen in a way that made the character more than her sexuality. It was also refreshing that this movie wasn't simply all about a love interest. There was depth to this film that we often don't see in modern films. If you are looking for an emotional movie with lots of facets then you have found the right one. Also LOVED the music used in this film! Candy Says made the film that much more amazing! It's a must watch!

Seph and Alex have just lost a very dear friend. That is Dan who had not told anyone of his imminent demise but had been making films that eh intended to speak for him from beyond the grave.
One of his wishes was for them to take his ashes to various locations that were milestones in his life and leave a little bit of him in each one. He even has the transport worked out for them and they have to watch a part of his film at each site. This then becomes a road trip with a difference and the two girls soon find that it is more than a series of tasks for a friend it becomes a voyage of discovery for both of them.
Now this is a comedy drama but more drama than comedy as the comical moments tend to be the sort that are more incidental to life – which makes it much more watchable. It is an indie effort but has the hallmarks of a quality production and a few big names like Alison Steadman and Julian Rhind-Tutt, to name but two, are thrown in for good measure. Recommended for those who like a gentle comedy with moments of poignancy and just a dash of well placed drama.

Burn Burn Burn takes what I think is the rare, successful stab of tackling something dark and honest (the death of a close friend) as a comedy while not shying away from the realities of the situation. Through both the very strong performances and writing, you really get the sense that this is a lived in and complicated friendship. And I think that's really what stuck with me and why I feel its an enjoyable ride. This is a road movie with heart, and one that crucially never loses sight of its relationships.
It might be sadder than you were expecting, it might be funnier. But to me, this film hits in the exact right spot. Life is funny and sad at the same time, and all the more rewarding for it. Just like 'Burn Burn Burn'.

I am great at feeling, i am lazy at writing. I am mostly just writing this to remember how this movie had made me feel, so this isnt helpful if u r looking for a review.
Its a feel good movie, its a movie that reinforces ur beleif in ciinema, and u realise its an uplifter. Cinema elevates us, sometimes loudly, sometimes quietly.
I have been watching movies numblessly teh entire lockdown, this movie made a mark. It inspired emotions, it made me stop and relate.
We dont relate with stories, we relate with how they make us feel. My neuroticism relates to this one.
i think the dead guy angle works well with me. we will all die, but i like Kurt Cobain, Heath Ledger, etc. and Dan, character in this movie, much more cuz I know they are already gone. death is potetially romanticised.

If you're trying to find that Friday night film that a couple can agree on, look no further. It's so refreshing to watch a film with two strong female leads that isn't a "chick-flick" - a film that makes you laugh while tackling important subjects.
This road-trip movie takes you on a beautiful ride around the UK, alongside two neurotically charming girls dealing with some big issues following the death of their best friend.
Although the premise is a bit dark, the writing is funny & sassy - and the caliber of the actors delivers genuine and poignant performances. It has an indie film down-to- earth grit, while feeling a lot more polished and sophisticated.
This film is a gem!

This independent British film is basically a road movie based on a conceit - that two female friends go round the country scattering the ashes of a deceased friend, at his behest. They both have problems, and the film is really about them. On the way they encounter various people, some odder than others. Some of the film is sad, some mildly funny. It is always engrossing. Julian Rhind-Tutt is good as the obnoxious, self centred and now dead Dan, who only appears on a laptop. It is good to see Laura Carmichael in something less buttoned-up than Downton Abbey. But the centre of this film is Chloe Pirrie's performance as closed-up Alex, burdened with secrets she can't talk about. Well worth seeing.

I just saw this at the Odessa International Film Festival in Ukraine, it was truly awful, by far the worst I had seen at the festival. From the first 2 minutes of the film I knew it was going to suck, weak story line, weak actors, constantly trying to be funny but never succeeding. You would think that a film starring Nigel Planer might have an element of humour in it somewhere, alas no. The director should really try and get her job back at Tescos.
I really felt embarrassed to be English in the Cinema, the Ukrainian audience were probably expecting some great English humour, but all we they got was some depressing Lesbians driving around the British countryside in a 30yr old Volvo.
The biggest laugh the audience got was when someone said "Who wants Chicken Kiev for Dinner", I had actually eaten Ukrainian Chicken Kiev just before the performance.

A raw & unfiltered perspective about the beauty and mortality that lies within the genuine human condition. Awe-inspiring reflection of our inadequacies in relation to our self-defense mechanisms-all that of which are being hardened, molded, & shaped by time, circumstance, and loss. A heart-wrenching reminder that sometimes only the blind can see.
Quite literally the Worst movie I've seen.
No clue as to why this is listed as a comedy - except oh wait the jokes on anyone who watches it!
Think a Hallmark tv movie with no budget , no script, no actors & terrible cinematography!

Without being biased what with me being British, this movie is a very moving, funny in parts, emotional journey that will even make you reassess yourself along the way. Fabulous acting with one or two familiar faces, this is a gem of a movie.

If it wasn't for the superb actress Laura Carmichael i couldn't have given this a 10.
Her acting is amazing and as always looks stunning in her movies as in The Secrets She Keeps giving a perfect performance and realistic character.
I loved her humour in this movie.
Such a perfectly likeable character unlike her sidekick and the most irritating dying friend.
Stick with this, getting past the dismal introduction and you'll find it's a gem of a road trip adventure.
Yet again Laura makes this beautiful movie.

I watched this movie in Seoul International Women's Film Festival(SIWFF). There are so many charming characters in the movie. I really love all of them. All actors and actresses performed realistically and impressively. They made me not only happy but also impressed.
As well as, there are so many efforts in this film. It is made by all of staffs. The film contained all efforts. The story is very strong. I was so impressed. Every background is very beautiful. After watching, I really have wanted to visit in UK. Although I'm not good at English, I really want to feel the feelings and enjoy landscapes in the film. The movie is full of eye candy.
I will visit in UK from 21 Oct to 6 Nov. I asked to producer Daniel where is the background of the movie. He answered very kindly and detailed. I'm really happy to contact with him.
If you want to feel the beautiful friendship and UK, please watch this movie!

A tale that's been told before but well done. Leads bounced off each other with good humour. Could have been longer. Some bits felt rushed.

It was a slice of life type of movie. It's just a hilarious and bizarre adventure that has really weird and interesting events taking place, all the while keeping you entertained. There's no climax that you need to watch out for, there is no secret that needs to be uncovered.
It's just like they say one should treat their life - enjoy the Journey and that's what this movie is literally. You enjoy the entire movie for everything that it is. The music also adds to it.
