Droned ***
edwagreen28 September 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Drones hit the Hawaiian beaches and 7 innocent people are shot to death and scores injured. McGarrett soon comes to the conclusion that this is the work of terrorists.

How quickly this changes and this becomes a case of using terror as a means to smuggle a crook out of Hawaii.

Jerry is used in this episode to combat the drones. An important person who has a government contract regarding the drones quickly acquiesces to McGarrett who seeks information about these flying robots.

Our gal pal is with her precious Adam and he actually proposes to her in this episode. She is unsure and gives him that type of response.

Hopefully Steve Will Treat Danny Like An Equal
ShelbyTMItchell18 October 2014
Warning: Spoilers
I will confess as the fourth season of the show nearly made me turn it off. As they butchered the characters we all know and love as it made Steve out to be a total jerk and Danny a huge whiner sidekick.

As he needs to treat Danny like an equal like driving his car. And to treat him with respect. Which he does as a friend but a partner that is another story as both are in couples therapy ordered by the governor.

Steve gets car sick? He is a control freak for once. He may get car sick but not the car sick where he throws up or keeps it to himself as the reason he has to drive. Danny needs to keep on pointing out his weaknesses.

Also the producers added Lou and Jerry as full time status. Four men and one woman. This season ought to be interesting.

As Kono wants to marry Adam but both are hesitant after all that they had gone through.

Chin is still in trouble with IA as that storyline over the money thing. Will keep him in the IA's cross hairs.

Danny finds a kingpin who has knowledge of his fugitive brother's whereabouts. And wants millions of dollars in return if Danny does not comply, his brother will be dead. As his brother took the money from him the kingpin claims.

Jerry investigates a bookstore owner that may have counterfeit money. So everybody has a storyline which is great. Except Steve which is rare. As the show is should not always be the Steve Show!

They also must doom a drone as it leaves all of HI on the edge and away from the state and indoors. But the team has to solve this and fast.

At least Danny got to drive his car with Steve for once. Really hope that can happen a lot this season after a weak season 4.

One of the more exciting of the "Who-done-it" episodes
lyndaepostal29 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
From the humor of Danny and Garrett when they're doing "couples therapy," to the suspenseful drone attack on civilians and subsequent lockdown of Honolulu, this is one of my favorite episodes. I really like the technology that comes into play when the drones are tracked back and the real purpose of the attacks is determined to be a smokescreen to get a mobster off the island. Just a great episode! 👍

Drone and Therapy
shelbythuylinh7 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Season 5 premiere and really glad they added "Lost" alum Jorge Garcia as Jerry to bring some much needed comic relief over with Scott Caan.

As a drone is in the causing havoc and chaos along with shots that lead to death or wounding.

Elsewhere that over Danny and Steve are therapy there. Really Danny is a true friend while Steve really tries to be controlling and overbearing. But then again, Danny mooches off of Steve there a bit by opening the door without knocking. Very rarely Steve does the same thing like he did in the season 2 one of the episodes.

top 3 worst episodes of the series
mr-ahmedmashhour3 June 2020
By far the worst acted episode in the entire show. Filled with so much cliches and a horrible story line and of course horrendous CGI.

Worst episode of the series by far
Plzmadame6 February 2021
Horrible acting and too many cliches. Everything feels forced. Episodes usually flow within this series. I wonder what happened here.

Even by H5O standards this is awful!
keithfmanaton2 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Cast & writers stray even further from the boundryless reality of their minds! Marvelesque drone with impossible power to weight ratio carrying limitless amounts of weaponry attacks innocent humans. While the USAF & the Naval base on Hawaii is powerless to intervene & the 5O superhero's have save the day. Inc failing to track & intercept a poorly CGI'd private jet landing on a very short road in downtown Honolulu! The series popularity speaks volumes of the gullibility of the public.
