For a slave Grumio lives a very indolent life, never knowingly overworked. So its a real surprise to see him, actually do anything whatsoever. In his labour he gets a real surprise, something he certainly wasn't expecting when he left home.

When Marcus and Stylax left for work in the morning, they were certainly not expecting to be sharing their abode when they got home.

Non of these three juvenile layabouts are really cut out to be parents, especially when psychologically they are scarcely out of short pants themselves.

I am watching this show again after a little break, and feel like saying something about the shows actors. I have never seen any of the actors playing the main characters before, so I can only judge them from impressions of them from this show.

My favourite of the three characters is Grumio, he is only one who is anything of a character. On the face of it the character appears to have far less going for than the other 2, because he is so much dimmer. He also gets fewer lines, but the actor Ryan Sampson manages to do so much with it. Despite these character limitations, he actually brings the part to life.

Stylax as a wally has a very limited palette, from which to paint. The actor Joel Fry does try his best to paint a good picture, and he does just manage to draw a reasonable sketch.

Marcus character is frankly rather lame, and the actor manages to limp along with him. Tom Rosenthall does not stand out as an actor for me in this part, he just manages to play it without doing anything with it at all. I have never felt like watching the TV comedy Friday Night Dinner, and from seeing him in this I am not going to change my mind.
