Revenge heads towards 'jump the shark' territory
studioAT8 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Does anyone really care about anything related to Voulez or the Miclone app? The writers seemed to, such is the time they spent on it, but I'm afraid I couldn't care less.

It's a busy episode, in which we say goodbye to Olivier Martinez (a man who reflected the average viewer in the sense he seemed baffled by the direction the stories were going) as Pascal, as Conrad (Henry Czerny at his brilliant best) helpfully shows him an alternate way of boarding a helicopter. It's just a shame Margaux hasn't had the 'red sharpie' treatment yet. Not that the show seems to do those regularly any more.

Having just about avoided it during a weaker second half of S3, 'Revenge' veered towards 'jump the shark' territory here, by planting the idea that David Clarke might still be alive. You can see why ABC would have wanted to keep the show going, but S3 was shaping up to be a decent final series, and this twist certainly didn't do it any favours.
