American Pie is one of those cult classic movies that anyone who grew up in the 1990s has probably seen — many times. It was known for its humor and certainly catered to a more adult audience, but it was loaded with characters that nobody could ever forget.
While it’s been nearly 25 years since the movie was released, some of the actors have remained household names. Where is the American Pie cast today?
The ‘American Pie’ cast in 2012 | Kevin Winter/Getty Images Where is Jason Biggs today?
Jason Biggs was the film’s main star, and he went on to act in movies far beyond American Pie. There have been plenty of film sequels, and he starred in the first four movies, up until 2012. He appeared in films including Eight Below and My Best Friend’s Girl, the latter of which is where he met his now-wife, Jenny Mollen. Today, Biggs is worth about $20 million,...

“Dating in Barcelona” has left to big ratings in Spain, both on its first window debut on Catalan public network TV3 and on Amazon’s Prime Video, where it bowed to become the streaming services most watched show.
Barcelona-based Filmax, the series production house, is now bringing the show to Conecta Fiction as one of its banner new offerings.
Written by Pau Freixas Èric Navarro, Ivan Mercadé, Clara Esparrach and Eduard Sola, it follows in the course of an episode two dates happening simultaneously in the city of Barcelona. Drawing contrast and larger social point from one another, the series manages to make insightful commentary on the modern ways of dating while shuttling dynamically from each story, always maintaining a lighter mood.
Beyond the appeals of the episodic format, bulwarked by something of a reaction to lengthy and lore-heavy series, the show’s minimalistic, self conclusive concept, only demanding performer...

When Abigail Cowen first read the script for Netflix’s “Fate: The Winx Saga,” she knew it was special. The show involved teenage fairies, attending a private boarding school. But while the series had that magic supernatural twist, its group of high schoolers had relatable insecurities and struggles with growing up and finding who you are.
“I was like, ‘This is actually kind of synonymous with embracing what makes you different, and really finding the love in that,’” Cowen said when we sat down with her for an exclusive TheWrap Studio photoshoot and interview. “And when you do embrace what makes you different, then your magic flourishes.”
For Cowen, she began exploring her own special power – as an actor – as a youngster growing up in Florida. Her earliest professional acting jobs came out of the scene in Orlando, including a commercial at just 12 years old that put her over the...

When the Covid-19 pandemic forced production shutdowns and office closures, Jaime Dávila, president and co-founder of Campanario Entertainment and executive producer of “Selena: The Series,” found himself “mostly working in bed, college-style,” he says with a laugh.
Three months into the pandemic, though, he realized it was time to finally carve out a dedicated workspace in his Los Angeles home, the most important piece of which is his standing desk. His company has always had the philosophy of “working where you are,” but he is excited to get back to the “human-to-human contact” of in-person meetings.
“If you’re a fan of ‘House Hunters,’ Hollywood is one of those great businesses where you get to see a bunch of different spaces. Now you’re seeing a lot of home spaces and it doesn’t feel the same,” he says.

Spanish formats are having a moment in Europe and further abroad, headlined by successes such as “Dangerous Moms,” “Gran Hotel” and, perhaps most successful of all, Albert Espinosa’s “The Red Band Society” — the format was sold globally, including to the U.S.
Espinosa, after a decade remaking his highly autobiographical Catalan original “Polseres vermelles” (“Red Band Society”), is back with “Alive and Kicking,” a new coming-of-age series that Beta Film is shopping at Mipcom.
Produced by Movistar Plus and Dynamo Audiovisual — the Madrid-based branch of Colombian indie powerhouse Dynamo, producers of Netflix’s “The Great Heist” and Colombia’s 2019 Oscar submission “Monos” — “Alive and Kicking” marks something of a sea change for Spain’s most successful fiction format creator.
A decade ago, when “Red Band Society” was created and its format sold globally, Netflix wasn’t a player in Europe and wouldn’t even arrive in Spain for another five years.

Natalie Krinsky, writer and director of “The Broken Hearts Gallery,” drew inspiration from her own breakups for the romantic comedy starring Geraldine Viswanathan and Dacre Montgomery.
The film, which opens in theaters on Friday, follows Lucy (Viswanathan) who curates a gallery of memorabilia from past relationships and heart breaks, after her breakup with much older Max (Utkarsh Ambudkar) and encourages others who are getting over a breakup to donate to the gallery. Selena Gomez serves an executive producer on the film.
“I wrote the first draft of the movie over 10 years ago — it’s the longest relationship I’ve ever had!” Krinsky told TheWrap on the phone from Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, just one day after giving birth. “Before I met my husband and starting making my human beings, I was at a crossroads. Dave Annable is making his way to NBC's This Is Us.
The actor is set to appear in an upcoming episode of the series, which will reunite him with a former co-star.
Annable previously starred on Fox's one-and-done Red Band Society, playing the on-screen love interest of Mandy Moore.
The news broke when Moore and Pearson were spotted filming in New York City on February 11.
TV Line has revealed that Annable is set to appear as Kirby, Kevin's acting teacher, and will have scenes with Moore's Rebecca Pearson.
This Is Us likes to play with time, so we don't have a definite answer on which timeline he will appear in, but based on the set photo from Just Jared, it seems like it will be the past.
Annable is a TV veteran, with TV credits that include Reunion, Heartbeat, The Mick, 666 Park Avenue, What/If, and Yellowstone.

This story about Mandy Moore first appeared in the Comedy/Drama/Actors issue of TheWrap’s Emmy magazine.
Mandy Moore went through a lot this year. Well, Rebecca Pearson went through a lot — Moore just had to live through it while portraying the many iterations of the character on NBC’s “This Is Us.” It’s a job that has had her regularly breaking down on screen since the show first debuted in the fall of 2016.
Now, two seasons in, creator Dan Fogelman has yet to let the story well run dry, supplying an ever-increasing number of sob-worthy moments. This, of course, includes the story of how family patriarch Jack Pearson (Milo Ventimiglia) died at a young age, which was finally revealed to viewers in a special post-Super Bowl episode. That particular show drew even higher ratings than the Nielsen darling already gets on an average Tuesday.

Rome – Canneseries competition entry “The Hunter” is being hailed as a watershed production for Italian pubcaster Rai and certainly stands out as the most innovative show among a Rai content package just picked up by Amazon Prime Video.
About a real Palermo prosecutor with a killer instinct for tracking down top Mafiosi, ”The Hunter” is produced by Rome-based Cross Productions — which is controlled by Germany’s Beta Film — in tandem with Rai Fiction. The 12-episode “Hunter” skein reconstructs the vigorous reaction prompted in 1993 by the 1992 bomb murders of anti-Mafia magistrates Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino. An anti-Mafia effort of unprecedented scope was unleashed that led to hundreds of arrests and marked a turning point in Italy’s fight against Cosa Nostra.

YouTuber Jimmy Tatro stars as Dylan Maxwell, a “known dick drawer” who stands accused of — what else? — drawing dicks all over his high school. But did he really do it?...
