Never doubt the word of a mass-murdering psychopath.Apparently.

The first half of this is great.Simon Merrells is clearly having a ball as the Founder, chewing the scenery with relish, and even Mark Pellegrino seems to appreciate Jedikiah being reinvented as a crazy homeless guy.The breakout of the week is a fun character and the sequence of a couple of Ultra agents sitting down with the leaders of the Tomorrow People for a double date manages to bring the audience along with its sheer chutzpah, beaten by the brilliantly over the top fight between Cara and Hillary alongside John and Stephen's hilarious attempt to match it.

Unfortunately, the episode devolves into an illogical mess with the Tomorrow People taking it in turns to trust someone who was trying to kill them a few episodes ago.Even the writers seem to have lost track of who knows what as John and Cara find out Jedikiah has Roger's body for the second time.It ends in a dull finale as the Founder produces his version of Cerebro which requires Stephen to take his shirt off in order to power it.

And it's around this time that the lazy and illogical plotting and poor dialogue starts to grate. How does Stephen's paranormal tracker pick up Jedikiah? "Because I invented it!"When John refers to Cassie's death as "The one thing I swore I'd never do", what is he talking about (killing someone?killing one of his own?)and how many episodes is it since he last did it?Everyone's so confused about who's in love with you that Cara goes from begging John to open up to her to being jealous of Stephen in an incredibly jarring manner. Then John and Cara forget they're telepathic and split up to look for Stephen, who Cara can't tell is having sex with Hillary until she's almost in the same room as them.

Oh, and Luca finds out about Stephen's powers, which is virtually a footnote and probably won't be mentioned much.
