Strong and well written episode with excellent performances

The Jennings' receive some disturbing news about the propeller plans stolen from the US factory for use with Soviet technology.

I enjoyed this episode for the themes, character development and performances.

The story is quite character driven in this episode with a lot of emphasis on the conflict between what characters do in the line of their duty and how it effects them emotionally. Contrastingly, it also shows characters driven to do things by emotions that go against the grain of what duty demands. Mixed in with it all is all the deception and compartmentalisation that we see every week with characters getting further into their double lives.

It is heavy on irony as always, particularly as we know everybody's secrets. Stan is really starting to come apart under the stress of a situation where he has allowed himself to be seriously compromised. Poor Henry's transgressions come to the surface and I was pretty much shouting at his Mum and Dad to show compassion considering the hypocrisy of the life they lead.

I always enjoy the little touches added to demonstrate the characters attitudes towards the socialist and capitalist lifestyles. The use of the Camaro in this episode works well for this purpose.

I also like that characters and plot lines from previous episodes are not disregarded but heavily linked to what is happening currently. That is the sign of a well thought out overarching narrative.

As always all performances are excellent from everyone in the cast, particularly the show leads and in this episode Keidrich Sellati gives a heartbreaking show of emotion.
