To be honest, it took me more then 2 years to come back to "Rectify" series from where i did left it - at the end of season 1. While i enjoyed the first season overall, i wasn't blown away by it a bit - it was a good, but there were many better shows in my opinion at the time. The reason why i did came back to give it a second chance and to continue to watch it from were i left it again to be honest was the very same reason why i started to watch it in a first place - a universal acclaim on Metacritic after as i know the show has ended (ye, i do realize how that sounds).
After seeing first two episodes of season 2 i'm not disappointed i came back to it to say the least. 20 minutes into the "Running with the Bull" i did remember the characters, situations (most of it) and the whole tone of the show. This is a high quality series all around which now i will definitely will finish to watch. I really love the story overall, i think the premise is so good and the same moment so sad but it is always as plausible as it gets. Acting is very good in here, but its the writing and very solid directing who carries the show so far.
All in all, i can't wait to see next chapters of this superb show.
