'The Crazy Ones' was obviously in trouble by this point, so the powers that be went all out for the biggest bit of stunt casting they could to try and breathe a bit of new life into it - they brought in Pam Dawber (Mindy) to guest alongside Robin Williams.
If only they'd found a storyline worthy of such a lovely reunion! Unfortunately what they came up with just doesn't work - it's not overly funny (save for a nice in joke at the end) and Dawber's character is unlikeable.
The story with Brad Garrett (guesting again) is ok, though the joke seems to be "Brad Garrett is playing a gay man" rather than anything else, which is a waste.
The plot with the other characters in the office is actually the best one, and perhaps they should've introduced more now and again crazies in the ad office.
This show is never less than charming, and it's always well played, but the quality does seem to have dipped as the axe looked like it was falling.
