Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • Near the end of the film, three characters have an extremely intense and violent fight. Right before this, they watch a video where two people are brutally killed (one off camera)
  • A man attempts to commit suicide, but the gun is pointed away by another man as he shoots.
  • The most intense MCU film to date, especially characters who have been allies in previous films fight each other. Violence on par with The Winter Soldier.
  • This movie contains several intense action sequences, in which there are numerous implied, mostly offscreen deaths and injuries. People fleeing for their lives are seen throughout the film.
  • There are lots of gunfights, superpower fights, and hand to hand combat throughout the movie.
  • A man assassinates two defenseless people after causing their car to hit a tree. He beats the driver in the face. The assassin then proceeds to the passenger side where a bloodied woman is shown. He begins choking her but the camera pans away before she dies. He then points the gun at the camera.
  • A man is tortured as his captors try to break his spirit.
  • A man commits suicide by blowing himself up.
  • A man dies in a bombing during the conference.
  • A man is tortured by being hung upside down with his head in a basin sink as water fills the sink. The water is seen covering the man's nose and he begins to struggle before the scene is cut.
  • Numerous beatings between superheroes occur with trucks and building debris landing on them along with all manner of implements being thrown at each other.
  • A final standoff results in a violent fight between two men which leaves them both nearly incapacitated.

Profanity

  • "Goddamn" is used 2 times
  • Spider-Man says "Holy shit!" when he sees Ant Man turning into a giant.
  • Uses of God's name in vain as GD, also the use of Jesus name as a curse word.
  • About 5 s-words, 2 "son of a bitch," and a few uses of "ass."

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Alcohol is consumed from a Highball glass.
  • One man is seen in a house strewn with bottles.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The premise of the movie may be upsetting to those who hate seeing heroes fight each other.
  • H.Y.D.R.A. operative Brock Rumlow returns as the terrorist Crossbones. Crossbones usually wears a intimidating mask to hide a severely scarred face.

Violence & Gore

  • When the trio finds the other winter soldiers they have bloody bullet wounds in thier head.
  • There is lots of violence throughout, some of it contains mild blood. There are also ENDLESS fights such as people getting shot, blown up, thrown, kicked, punched, but surprisingly, there aren't too many injuries. During most of the fight scenes the viewer really feels the impact behind each characters attacks, they really feel like they are getting knocked out. Tony Stark, looks like he has a black eye for some time in the film.
  • A body is seen dead in a bathtub. Only the arm is seen silhouetted through the shower curtain with a little dry blood on the side of the tub. The man's face is seen briefly later with a little bit of blood coming out of his mouth.
  • Bucky's metallic arm is torn off during the final battle. This act is not bloody.
  • Rhodes's flying suit is damaged causing him to fall violently to the ground, resulting in many injuries, including the fully functional use of his legs.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The ending is pretty intense and somewhat difficult to watch.
  • The scene where Bucky kills Tony's parents is quite intense seen as Bucky kills without remorse.
  • The final fight between Iron Man vs Captain America and Bucky Barnes is very intense and to some people is very emotional.
