Great episode

Warning: Spoilers
People need to pay real attention. They didn't catch him because they need him to lead them to Rose. If they catch him it's very likely she'll never be found, dead or alive.

WITH ALL ITS FLAWS

I agree there a some (lots?) plot holes. However, it's still suspenseful. As to why they didn't arrest him yet - everything they have is circumstantial. A good lawyer could get him off a murder charge. What would the value be in convicting him of breaking/entering or some such?

Ridiculous and dragging on

After everything they have. DNA, fake Alibis and him breaking into her hotel room.

But then they let him walk in the hospital and then leave without doing anything?

And the dead girl. Did it really take them that long to realise that there was rope around her neck and rope in the trees in broad daylight?

And I'm sick of Gillian Anderson whispering everything.

It's like they are prolonging it for no reason. In the real world he would've been arrested 4 episodes ago but they haven't ever interviewed the girl for breaking in yet?

I agree 👆🏼 WHYYYY not arrest him when they have him right under their noses?? They let him waltz into the hospital & straight back out again? Soo many plot holes, glitches & missing attention to detail. I'm getting a bit fed up with it all tbh!

Patronising
dierregi10 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This episode highlights the structural problem with the Stella character. She is shown to be devastated by the intrusion into her privacy, and actually says so explicitly, stating that her diary was private. Yet, when Jim expresses the same feelings about Paul having overheard their conversation, she treats him with contempt.

Stella is a patronising character who loves telling men what to do and how to behave, just like a conventional "wife". Despite the attempt to modernise her, by giving her predatory (and bisexual) inclinations towards sex, Stella is still a stereotype of the "angry woman" who tells boys what to do because she knows better. She's angry, even if she speaks in her - annoying - whispers.

I understand that she "must" be superior to Paul and haughty to make the plot work, because of his jealousy and frustration, but for me it still doesn't work because both Stella and Paul are cold, unlikable characters and the story lacks a heart.

Warning: Spoilers
Let a serial killer enter and leave a hospital well done!! In real life they would of had armed police waiting for him. So badly written.

alright....

Warning: Spoilers
This is the point i give up in IMDB, just like on RT. It is sad. This season has 1400 reviews at 8.2 average rating, while it is beyond stupid and dragged out to oblivion and absolutely painful to watch ? Yes it could be us - however at the same time every rating which includes an actual comment agrees.

There is literally no way for the 8.x rating to be based on real people.
