Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • There's only two large scale action style battle sequences: the first one is the opening scene, while the last one is the closing scene of the film. Besides this, there are frequent moments of emotional "violence" both psychologically and physically especially in the 2nd half of the film.
  • Apes are enslaved and tortured. A lot of whippings and forced starvation.
  • Some character vomit dark blood while bleeding profusely from the nose.
  • Cesar the ape is tortured over the course of several weeks. He is tied up to a large wooden x limb from limb, and he is left outside to freeze in extremely cold weathers. He also has cold water splashed on him.
  • Two scenes of gun and arrow battles between apes/humans and humans/humans. The entire movie only has two action scenes. Mostly physical fighting in the film.

Profanity

  • 4 "hell", 1 "goddamn", 3 "damns", and one whispered use of "oh shit".
  • 'God' is said a couple of times and 'Jesus' is said once.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A character appears drunk. He frequently drinks from a flask

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A suicide scene.
  • This movie is a lot sadder than the other two movies.
  • This is the most intense movie of the series.
