Nicely done overall I think

Warning: Spoilers
"Singularity" is a 9-minute live action Sshort film from 2015 and here we have a work written and directed by Samuel Jørgensen and another example of a prolific visual effects artist who worked on several big movies coming up with his own short film. Needless to say that the special effects are on the highest level here. But the story is okay too. A special rescue squad is out to save the President hiding inside, but what awaits them on the outside is really far from harmless with what we see at the very end. Nice twist too. The film is from the Action/SciFi genre and as these are far from my favorite genres, I was surprised that I liked the watch. This one felt like taken right out of a full feature film and this is perhaps the best compliment you can make such a short movie. I also think that it could very well be turned into a full feature film from what we saw here.

Great short film. Not boring and I wanted to see more at the end, which is a good sign.

Honest review....It was really well done. Compared to half the other tripe I've seen on YouTube this was one of the good ones. Well edited, well ADR'd, nice color grading and the acting wasn't OTT or hammy. The visual effects were really well done, subtle and not cheap looking. The editing had a great pace to it. The production value was really well done.

The story was nothing new or overly original but it was executed really nicely. I wanted to see more at the end. I see many have mentioned an over use of strobe. Not a big deal, It didn't bother me.... and I LOVE the fact you didn't use shaky cam to fake excitement. Kudos.

That was like watching a million $ Hollywood production in 10 minutes!

A brilliant short film with low budget that really shows that not only Hollywood with it's millions of dollars can make great movies. Everyone should watch this. It's only 10 minutes long, so you can easiely watch it in you're break. As I don't want to write any spoilers in this review and it has to be 10 lines long (wich is pretty hard to reach for a 10 minute movie) I just have to say again that this is probably one of the best short films I've ever seen. It really competes with big-screen movies and I would actually wish that there would be a feature lenght movie about this short-film. Sorry for my bad English btw as I am from Austria.

Gripping, Action Short

This is a dynamite rescue film that manages to deliver a punch in just a few minutes. The graphics work well and the plot is solid. I can only say that economy is so critical to these short film and this is no exception. There are some precise uses of the technology. One of the better shorts.

Superb Short

I've seen full length Hollywood movies with superstar casts and $50-million budgets that were not as good as this.

It is easy to not have a real good impression about "Singularity" before see it. the subject is not new, the conflict - almost dusty. but it has a special virtue - it is a well craft expression. all the details, ignored in other action films are presented in the admirable manner in this case. the cinematography, the story, the performances, the end. all in precise and powerfull manner. so, nothing original. but, in strange manner, this is the lead virtue.
