Published in the Daily Express from May 13 1974 to September 21 1974
The Nevsky Nude features one of the rare stories in which Bond’s mission keeps him on British soil. 007, in communication with Moneypenny and M via radio, is shrouded in the Sussex forest in the deep of night, hoping to bust wide open a Smersh plot known as Operation Nevsky. Their intelligence bears fruit, as a beautiful, scantily clad women parachutes from a plane passing above! Before Bond can get to her, he is viciously attacked by a Smersh assassin, and in a mighty struggle involving all three desperate individuals, both the attacker and the woman are killed. With virtually no lead to work with, Bond and the despondent high ranking MI6 staffers are surprised to hear a bizarre radio transmission later that night, the voice announcing itself as none...

There was a time when the only place to see new movies was in theaters — I know, it sounds like science fiction, but it’s true — but the brave new world we find ourselves in has made it possible to experience brand new releases in a myriad of ways. One of the increasingly more common methods of mainlining cinema these days is via VOD, and while some smaller films manage limited theatrical releases a growing number are premiering on demand. This week’s small releases include four dramas of varying content and effect. Still Life follows a man whose job it is to find friends for the recently departed. Little Accidents examines the weight of guilt on several characters in a small, tragedy-prone town. The Phoenix Project finds four scientists on the verge of conquering death. And finally, Three Night Stand asks us to identify with a poor guy stuck between Meaghan Rath and Emmanuelle Chriqui. Still Life...

It's impossible not to think of Primer when watching the first trailer for Tyler Graham Pavey's feature debut, The Phoenix Project. Forget that it's about guys in a garage building amazing new technology; even just the way it's shot and the colour grading is so obvioulsy inspired by Shane Carruth's time travel classic that it inspired hope that it will live up to that film. No pressure, guys!
The films was also written by Tyler Graham Pavey and produced by Ironwood Gang Productions which is his own company, so even in producing the film, Tyler seems to be following in the footsteps of Carruth.
Synopsis:
Four scientists craft a machine to reanimate deceased organisms.
The film also stars Corey Rieger, Andrew Simpson, David Pesta.
Here's the trailer.
