Facing What Happens to the Victims of the Virus
claudio_carvalho13 January 2019
Eph and Nora believe the corpses have been confiscated by the military and they try to assist Captain Redfern that is ill. He is hospitalized and Eph promises that he will not die. Ansel gets worse and his wife leaves home with their kids. Jim Kent meets Eichhorst that blackmails him to make Jim quiet. Setrakian tricks the judge and he dismissed the charges. He returns to his shop and gets the plane manifest. Thomas Eichhorst kills the Regis Air CEO to release fake news. Captain Redfern vanishes from his room and Jim, Eph and Nora find him in the basement.

"Gone Smooth" is another great sequel, showing the effects of the virus in the survivors. Jim, Eph and Nora faces what happens to the victims of the virus while confronting the poor Captain Redfern. Setrakian lures the judge posing of victim of the Holocaust and senile, but he will certainly be important character fighting the evil Thomas Eichhorst. My vote is eight.

The pest control guy is the star

Warning: Spoilers
Setrakian got out with his sword-baton. The pest control guy is hilarious. The old vampire in charge of the company wears makeup to look like a human and the transformation was really good. That man made jim a part of their dubious acts after he gave him money so that his wife can receive treatment for her cancer. Eph, his female colleague and Jim saw the way how the captain of the plane transformed into a vampire at the basement of the hospital. Gabe the rockstar got rid of his male genitals as a part of his transformation.

Really enjoyed watching this one [8.8/10]

Warning: Spoilers
Reaction / Review for The Strain Season 1 Episode 3: Episode 2 was good and I gave it a rating of 8/10. The episode starts with a make up tutorial by Eichorst. From monster to human, pretty sweet. I hope Redfern will turn into a vampire and cause some chaos. Love how Eichorst is playing with Jim's feelings. Eph's family situation is so messed up, I feel bad for him. I hope that Jim's wife will get rid of cancer. This rat catcher guy seems like an interesting character. What about Palmer? I wanna see if the Master turned him into a vampire. Wow the vampires are genderless? Fascinating. Sad what happened to Redfern. Overall a great episode, enjoyed watching, my rating is 8.8/10.

The Strain is starting to take effect...
Brettyboy00730 July 2014
Just finished watching episode 3 of The Strain. I must say that this show will definitely be the next big hit. Literally. I can see this being the next Breaking Bad as long as they keep up this pace.

This episode followed more of the book, with some nasty scenes thrown in there that were different than the book. We did not see Gus in this episode, but instead, we were seeing more of Ansel and his family.

I love how the show is really following the book, save for some minor differences.

It will definitely be getting crazier from here, as this episode for sure raised the bar from episode 2.

I loved the ending.
