Grey's Anatomy burst onto screens in 2005, making household names out of stars like Ellen Pompeo and Katherine Heigl.
While the series remains a primetime staple, both actresses have exited the show and moved on to new projects.
As part of Variety's Actors on Actors conversation, the pair reunited to talk about their time on the show, and there were some big reveals.
Grey's Anatomy Season 1 was a midseason replacement for ABC in 2005, and while the sudsy medical drama had huge ratings, the stars were worried the show would never air.
"Those numbers, I don't even know if people can count that high anymore," Pompeo stressed.
"I was nervous that they were not going to air it," Heigl recalled, adding:
"There was a moment where it was unclear if they were going to air it. … It felt like the network or studio somebody didn't quite like what we were doing."

The classic 1989s buddy cop comedy feature Turner & Hooch is getting a TV series treatment for Disney+. I have learned that the Disney streaming platform is working on a Turner & Hooch TV series adaptation from Burn Notice creator Matt Nix and 20th Century Fox TV where Nix is under an overall deal.
Details about the series are scarce, but it is believed to be keeping the premise of the original movie, which starred Tom Hanks, and also revolves around a police detective and his dog, I hear. The TV series had been in the works for awhile. It has been gathering momentum recently, and I hear it is heating up for a green light. Reps for Disney+ and 20th TV would not comment.

When last we tuned into USA Network’s Complications, Dr. John Ellison (played by Jason O’Mara) had just told young Antoine’s incarcerated father how things were gonna be. How he was going to walk away from this ordeal once and for all, never to worry for his family’s safety.

People in bureaucratic roles often garner recognition from their peers and the general public for the respectable strides they take in their authoritative roles, as they determinedly work to make their communities a better place for everyone.
