This episode has it all: Jay being a big softie inside, Cam and Mitch being the gossipy couple everyone knows they are, Claire being the control freak of always and Phil's tech joining the plans, Gloria being Gloria and it's early enough that the kids still have a fun storyline. Just a family being awful and loving towards each other, the essense of the show.
The pictures at the end really sell it. Knowing how the show will end, which storylines will be retouched every now and then, Haley's photos seem even sweeter than the first time I watched it. The Delmar Watson reference was nicely done, simply hilarious.
