Namely: a young Robert Redford, still in his earliest years on screen, apparently didn't make a strong positive impression with his performance.
"He was very new," episode director Lamont Johnson is quoted as saying in Marc Scott Zicree's book "The Twilight Zone Companion." Johnson, who also helmed such famous chapters as "The Shelter" and "Five Characters in Search of an Exit," didn't outright disparage Redford's performance as one of just three characters in the episode, but Zicree notes that he wasn't great in the chapter in which he interviews the filmmaker. While Johnson wasn't outright critical of the actor,...

Horror title The Shelter will show in Sitges, later today. The film has been developed by Arrow in the Head developer John Fallon. And, the film stars Michael Pare as Thomas. They often say those who can, do, and those who can’t, teach. In the blogosphere its often those who can make movies do, and those who can’t rip them to pieces online in reviews. So what happens when a blogger turns filmmaker and produces a movie? The Shelter. That’s what.
Written and directed by Arrow in the Head blogger John Fallon and starring Michael Paré (The Philadelphia Experiment, Streets of Fire), The Shelter tells the story of Thomas, a homeless man grieving his late wife. Ruined and desperate, he comes across a vast house with the lights on and an inviting open front door. But the next morning, the house will not let him leave. Destiny has brought Thomas to this place and now he must survive a very personal ordeal.

Don’t call John Fallon a critic.
“I hate that word,” he says, whilst drinking a Guinness. “I’m just a guy who throws his opinions out there and that’s it.”
Just a guy who just directed his first full-length feature, The Shelter, in January. I first met Fallon on the set of his last scripted work, director Christian Veil’s yet-to-be released Billy Trigger, starring Fallon and Fred “The Hammer” Williamson. Fallon plays hard-boiled mob enforcer to Williamson’s thug. His head is shaved and he has a brutish, muscle-laden physique. He is compulsively clad in a leather jacket and jeans. He is, Jack Daniels in hand, quintessentially the guy who just wants a good brew, a broad, and a flick.
Fallon and “The Hammer” Williamson
Hence, why his ratings system includes sections for nudity and gore.
It would be easy for one to mistake his bravado persona...
