Warning: Spoilers
Auslag painfully delivers her baby with deformed legs and Ragnar does not accept his son. Lagertha informs her people that he will fight with Ragnar and King Horit in England. In Wessex, King Ecbert welcomes Princess Kwenthrith and shows to be a nymphomaniac. Ragnar, Lagertha and King Horit travel to Wessex and Ragnar wants to negotiate a deal with King Ecbert. But something happens making the encounter impossible.

"Boneless" shows the behavior of the Vikings when a father had a deformed children. King Ecbert seems to be a reasonable man but King Horit is blind by his death wish. My vote is eight.

Warning: Spoilers
"Boneless" features an abundance of intriguing and enjoyable character-dynamics, such as Bjorn and Rollo's wholesome growing relationship, King Horik and Lagertha questioning Ragnar (Ragnar's lack of care for equality of leadership is truly and finally on display here, something I'm glad the show has done, confirming it has all been intentional so far), and the introduction of Princess Kwenthrith's new alliance with Wessex and Northumbria. The episode, alongside its strong visuals and engaging atmosphere, successfully creates a feeling of grandness as our Viking characters return to England, and it all excellently pays off with a painful realisation and confirmation that yes, King Horik is a moron. Everything the episode does places its characters in positions that are vastly more entertaining and promising for future drama and stakes.

While I also appreciate the sweetness of Bjorn's new love story with Porunn, it is an understatement to say it has been completely rushed and underdeveloped.
